The History of Dole Asia's Visions

This started in Stanfilco with Paul P. Cuyegkeng, then Dole Japan Operations' Manager urging the Banana Divsion, Stanfilco, to be "Number One". Together with the late Mario Morillo, Stanfilco's General Manager,Stanfilco and Dole Japan declared the vision of "Dole Number One".

Then in 1994 when Paul Cuyegkeng became Dole's Leader of Dole Businesses, he declared a new Vision which is "Dole Number One Without Number Two". This was as he developed the Dole Asia Mission Statement.

This Vision describes our stretched bolder goals to be number one in all major business goals: in customer satisfaction, quality, productivity, cost, profitability, and service to humanity.

We have to achieve with a performance in which competitors are very far behind. Hence, the meaning of "Without Number Two". We visualized then the performance of the USA's Olympic Dream Team: Unbeatable Champion!

In January 1999 during Stanfilco's Year-End Meeting, a newer Vision was announced: "Dole the Only One"... a boldest Vision to achieve.
