Shotton Hall School Launches Young Enterprise Company
Students from Shotton Hall School, Peterlee, England, have recently launched their own
company, under the auspices ofthe Young Enterprise scheme.The company, called Tickle Your Fancy, will
now market and produce paper products (although an actual product has been decided upon) from now until the end of July 2000,
when the project finishes.

Tickle Your Fancy involves over 15 students all aged between 14 & 16.Working as a team and
taking on the roles associated with corporate giants, 12 of the students have been elected to form a
Board of Directors.To market and finance TYF, shares have been sold to fellow students, friends
and relatives

The employees of the company hope to achieve an understanding of business through practical
experience and develop attitudes andskills for personal sucess, lifelong learning and employ ability.

All companies are eligible to enter the Young Enterprise Company Competition for the prestigious HSBC
Young Enterprise Innovation Awards.The competition awards prizes of up to �1000 to the UK's
three most acclaimed and innovative companies.
