The Other Side: DJ Big Amir
For Those Of You That Don't Know About Amir's Passion For Hip-Hop Culture Here's Some Info. Amir Has Been Listening To Hip-Hop Since He Bought An MC Hammer Tape And An NWA Tape On The Same Day. As He Started To Get Into It He Discovered It Was An Art And In The Summer Of 1996 He Began Freestyling In Public. Since That Day, Amir Has A Rap Crown To His Belt. He Won The Coveted Long Beach Hip-Hop Commission Freestyle Contest. It Is A Contest Held Yearly In The Port Of Long Beach, And The Winning Prize Was $500. Amir's Response To The Victory Was, "I Was The Only Guy That Had Comical Raps. I Really Didn't Deserve It. I must Say Though When Some Guy Dissed Me In His Flow, That's When I Opened Up The Battle Rhymes. It Was The Best Flow Of My Life. I Rarely Use Violence In My Rhymes. I am a Persian Guy From An Affluent Community, What Else Can I Rap About?" When Rapping, Amir Goes By The Name DJ BIg Amir. This Name Was Given To Him By Shayan Tahmesebi a.k.a. DJ T-80. Since Then That Has Been Amir's "Pen Name." As Amir Has Gone On He Has Learned To Make Beats, Sample, And Use A Computer Synthesizer. (Not Like Shayan's, And Not As Good As Shayan)
Some Of DJ BIg Amir's Songs In Mp3 Format:
Homemade Beats
This was made using a drum beat made by Domingo and a few notes I played on a synthesizer.
