Rene Caisse's Herbal Formula For Cancer
This special herbal formula was given to a Canadian nurse in the early 1900's by an Indian Medicine Man. The formula called "Essiac" was used for her patients suffering from cancer. Documented effects of this formula were incredible and have also been found to be beneficial for patients with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus and other systemic diseases.
Rene Caisse never publicly divulged "Essiac" this herbal formula, as she feared that the medical establishment would discredit the results of the herbal formula. Today, the medical establishments in Canada and the United States do not approve of marketing the formula.
The term "Essiac" is currently being claimed by many companies's who claim to have received the formula from Rene Caisse, but they all seem to contain the same main ingredients:
Burdock Root - increases circulation to the skin and helps detoxify epidermal tissues. Used often for patients with boils and carbuncles and is know to help eliminate toxins from the lymphatic system.
Slippery Elm Bark - is mucilage and is known to reduce the pain of ulcers and has a "lubricating" effect in the digestive system. Is also nutritious and is a good addition for the convalescent.
Sheep Sorrel - Vitamin A is it's biggest contribution. This helps the liver eliminate toxins in the body.
Rhubarb - Often use is turkey rhubarb and is has antibiotic, anti-microbial and anti-tumor properties and is a strong detoxifying agent for the liver and acts as a mild laxative.
Some Herbalist have also been known to add other herbs, such as watercress, in the belief that they are improving on the original formula.
