Modern romances are just that. Romance stories based in today's
time frame. It does not matter where the stories begins-weather it's 20 years ago or five years
ago just so long as most of the story is revealed in the present. A modern romance story has a
realistic plot there is no magic or time travel involved in modern day romances. The hero's are
CEOs, serect service agents, lawyers, doctors, etc. The heroines are complete modern women with
a mind of own who is usually marriage wary and as a career of her own.
These books are usually around 300 pages long but can be as short
as 200 to as long as 600 pages long. It just depends on the author and the amount of detail of
the story. Modern books are the easiest to understand based on time frame. Many people enjoy
modern romance better than any other style of romance.
