Mission
1. Reduce the number and severity of traffic accidents through the diligent promotion of traffic safety.
2. Conduct investigations and apprehend criminals.

3. Communicate and cooperate with other agencies in our common objectives.

4. Direct, educate, counsel, and assist the public in matters consistent with our mission.

5. Vigorously enforce drug and alcohol laws and educate the public to the dangers of their abuse.

6. Respond in a timely fashion to emergencies and disasters with appropriate resources.

7. Serve the public to the best of our ability while setting a good example in dedication, honesty, and professionalism.

8. Be accountable and manage all allocated resources effectively and efficiently.

9. Maintain the integrity of gaming activities over which the Patrol has been assigned enforcement responsibilities.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol is an internationally accredited law enforcement agency whose personnel are dedicated to equally and objectively providing service and protection, upholding the laws and Constitutions of the United States and the State of Missouri to promote a safe and secure environment for the public.
