This is one of the best books I?ve ever read, it not only provides a more than decent storyline, the characters have shining personalities, and the book gives a piece of history along with all of that. When a pair of shoes, signed by a sports star drop from the sky, the boy that picks them up, takes them home. He is later charged with stealing from a local charity fundraiser, and is sent to Juevenile Camp. There he learns the true meaning of work. Every day, he is to dig a hole. 5 feet deep, and 6 feet wide. When one of his newly found friends runs away, he feels he must rescue him, and that leads to yet another adventure. Extremely moving, fast-paced, and altogether an exciting experience. A+
