A Stranger in the Kingdom
A Stranger in the Kingdom, by Howard Frank Mosher, is the tale of a boy growing up in the Northern Kingdom, in Vermont. It tells of his adventures, and just of his life. But his world is capsized when a court case against his friend, and reverend, (he is also a black man) is brought up. This book is reminiscent of To Kill a Mockingbird (reviewed here), and has continued the tradition. Very well written, and it kept me satisfied for weeks. A-.
