Ben's Poetry Page

My name is Ben W. I am a 7th grader at the Dedham school. I have a large interest in poetry, so I have compiled a collection of my best poems for you to read. When I write poetry, I usually like to write it on small pieces of paper, so I don't waste paper. I also like to write with markers, so my mistakes are final. That way I can go back and read what I messed up on, and get ideas from it. My favorite poems to read are ones with rhythm, but they don't necessarily have to rhyme.

 Upon My Windowsill

 Sweet, sweet

Upon the windowsill

Smooth, smooth

The little one says

Beauty, beauty

The words cross my lips

Swift, swift

With just one beat,

It is gone...

It is gone.
