20 INDIVIDUAL LETTERS SENT BY GREEKS TO THE UNIVERSITY OF BELGRADE

The following letters were sent to the Belgrade University by Greeks

during the NATO bombing and right after it. It is a little reflection

of the support that Greeks showed to Serbian people. Many people from

many nations wrote to the students of Belgrade, and their letters were

publicized in the Belgrade Univercity pages; but here only the letters

sent by Greeks are included. The most recent letters come first.

Subject: Is the war over?

Dear friends
It is evident that the war has NOT ended. Whoever keeps a watch to the
situation in Kosovo, gets surprised by the hypocricy of the Western
powers; they supposed to come in your territory as peace-keepers, and
what do they do? They just sit and watch while your people get killed by
the UCK terrorists - and some times, the same "peace-keepers" kill you.
It is obvious that they are not peace-keepers, they are occupation
troops. Perhaps Greece is the only NATO country that really wants to be
a fair, real peace-keeper.
Ofcourse someone must be too simple-minded to believe that Western
powers are interested in peace. They never did. Otherwise they would be
interested in the slaughters of the Tamils in Sri Lanka, the genocides
in Burma, Sierra Leone, Rwanda and Turkish Kurdistan, the horrifying
atrocities committed against the black Sudanese Christians, the Attilas
operation in Cyprus... but they just don't care.
They only want to have their protectorate in your territory, and they
prefer this protectorate to be inhabited by Albanians only, since
Albanians are willing to be their slaves - while you Serbs are not. So
we watch UCK thugs, as they do the dirty work for the NATO "humanists".
>From time to time, "peace-keepers" disarm some of these thugs, (quite a
comical act, if you think how easily they get again even more arms).
And you are always the "bad guys", who are even "worth to be expelled
and killed", since "the Croats and Bosnian Muslims (and now the
Albanians) have spent millions of dollars hiring major New York public
relations firms, most notably Ruder & Finn, to 'shape the weapon of
public opinion' into relentlessly demonizing the Serbs, whose forces
have invaded no foreign country and who were staunchly pro-Allied and
suffered horribly in both World Wars", as the American journalist M.
Kreca remarks.
You see, dear friends, you are not pimpers and drug-dealers. You are
people who love freedom and honour. You are -once more- guardians of the
gate against the darkness of international tyranny. So in the "grave New
World" of the New World Order there is no place for people like you.
But you are not alone. More than 30,000 anti war demonstrators took part
in June 5 "March on the Pentagon," asking to stop the bombing against
your country. It was without a doubt the largest anti-war demonstration
held in the America's capital since the days of the Vietnam war, (though
CNN Headline News said that only 5,000 people participated
in demonstrations). All these people keep watching the situation and
know perfectly well what are the NATO plans against you. And there are
millions of others all over the world, who feel proud to defend you
every way they can.
You are not alone. Above NWO and its criminal officials is God, Who
watches everything. The enemies of human race won't cheat us, and won't
beat you. Super-powers are, of course, strong. But they are not
unbeatable.

and organizations (such as CIA, Senate, etc).

If you think that it may be useful information you may use it,
in any way, put a link to it, or do whatever you think it will
help to inform people and put an end to the continuing bombing
and killings of so many people in Yugoslavia.

Subject: Be brave! - Letter from a Greek friend

Dear friends 
        I write this letter on the 55th day of bombing. I know it's
difficult since you 've already lost some of your beloved ones, and since so many 
terrible things, that will insist after the end of bombing, have already 
happened to your economy and industry. But please don't give up, for 
God's sake. Don't bow your knee to the bloodstained warlords of this 
"New World Order", of this "New Age" of horror. It was America who 
started the war, by giving Serbia an ultimatum to sign away sovereignty 
over an integral part of its territory and national birthright. In fact, 
you were told that your only choice was to lose the province or expel 
the Moslem majority. 
        The NATO's sensitive humanists were not so sensitive when the
Turks 
invaded Cyprus. Hundreds of Cypriots were arrested and they are still 
missing. There were just 
some phrasal condemnations. Now the occupied territories of Cyprus are 
considered as a part of Turkey, since Turks can travel from these 
territories to Turkey without a passport. Tassos Isaac was demonstrating 
against this annexation, and was murdered by the Turks. Solomos Solomou 
was also murdered because he took down the Turkish banner from his land, 
from the land of his ancestors. Again there were some phrasal 
condemnations and nothing more. 
        "The Kurds have suffered far more than the Kosovans, 37,000 dead
Kurds 
compared to 2,000 dead Kosovans in 1998 and 65 in 1999, before Nato 
triggered the mass killing.  Yet Washington supports Turkey to bomb Kurd 
villages, kidnap Kurd leaders abroad, "ethnically cleanse" Kurd lands, 
imprison Kurdish electoral candidates, and bomb and invade Kurds in 
neighboring Iraq. Washington even supplies the weapons for Turkey to do 
it", says Jon Basil Utley, who is neither a Serb, nor a Greek, but an 
American. 
        Dear friends, I'm not one of Milosevic's followers. I do not
agree with 
any kind of "ethnic cleansing". Anyway Westerners forget that Albanians 
did it first some years ago. I believe that, though there were some 
problems, Serbs could live with Albanians if there were not some 
politicians and some secret agencies and some foreign countries, that 
see people as pawns in their chessboard. All these factors did their
best to start this bloodshed.
        I would like to encourage the poor Albanians also, and to tell
them 
that NATO does not care about them, it just uses them to manage its own 
felonious plans. KLA does not care about them also. As a Greek I can 
assure you that most of the Albanian criminals who came right from the 
Albanian jails and who will remain unforgettable for the killings, 
rapes, robberies, thefts, drug dealing and pimping they practiced in 
our country, now join KLA because of huge rewards they were promised. 
The "negotiations" took place before our eyes, even at the central 
square of Athens, Omonia. I do not mean that all Albanians are 
criminals, and I'm not talking about ordinary, peaceful Albanians. What 
has KLA to do with such criminals? Simply, Albanian criminals that lived 
in Greece and KLA are occupied in the same things and understand 
eachother. I'm afraid some Kosovan refugees are already experienced 
about KLA business, as these ungodly people started to pimp the poor, 
starving refugee girls. I'm sure that many of the Albanians who wanted
NATO's bombing, do not want it anymore. Maybe they began to understand
that their miserable condition is just a chance for Hilary's hustings. 
        Today I heard they are going to invade after 15 more days of 
bombardment, if you don't surrender. May God stop this bloody war! But 
if He allow this war to continue, PLEASE DON'T GIVE UP! At this very 
moment, you represent the dignity of humanity against this blasphemous 
temporal power. As a Greek, I can remind you what my ancestors said in 
such occasions: Freedom or death. It is better to die in honour, than 
to live in shame. For you is the honour, for NATO is the shame. You are 
not alone. We Greeks pray for your victory, and I believe many other 
people all over the world are doing so. I also believe there will be 
people, Greeks and others, who will come to fight by your side 
voluntarily, if it's necessary. Once upon a time, there was Vietnam.
Tomorrow, it will be Serbia. They must understand they can't buy
everything with their money, they can't force everyone with their power.
They are not gods, and they shouldn't act as if they were. There are
people, who want to be free and they mean it.
        Of course we must not pray for war, we must pray for peace. But
when the  price for peace is enslavement, this peace is worse than war.

I'm an insignificant secretary from Athens, Greece. I maybe feel secure inside the walls of my house but that doesn't make me feel less angry for what is happening to you.
So, my brothers forget my secure feelings, I'm always with you and if I can fight with you I will.

There have been many theories as to "why the Serbs?". Is it because they
are Orthodox? Is it because they are mean and ugly? Is it all a Masonic
plot? Kosovo is extremely rich in minerals. It has ten billion tons of
lignite. Kosovo has the biggest lead and zinc mines in Europe. Kosovo
has much silver and gold. Kosovo has huge untapped reserves of bauxite,
and manganese (which is necessary for the manufacture of steel). The US
and Europe have nearly depleted their supplies of manganese. Kosovo has
much chrome also. The Ruhr river valley in Germany has run dry of much
of its minerals so the Germans need a little mineral "lebenshraum". The
estimated value of Kosovo's minerals is in the area of thousands of
trillions of dollars. This can all be confirmed by reading a 1974
Yugoslavian Army study. The study was done in order to help decide how
strong the military defenses needed to be to defend an invasion of
Kosovo. If anyone is interested in the document please write me
privately. President Milosevic rejected a proposal by western
corporations to privatize Kosovo's mining industry. We are now seeing
the Forbe's 500's response to Milosevic's refusal to privatize.
Atrocities? This war is not about people or their well-being.

 I just write this e-mail in order to encourage you to your everyday
strangle.
At this circumstance Jugoslavija had to decide between a humiliating
peace(that would split up your country) and a brave war. And deciced the
latter.It is unnecessary to say how proud are Jugoslavians!!!
 Undoubtfully ethnical cleansing at Kossovo is unpermitable.But if
Jugoslavian leadership is once guilty, NATO is 1000 times.The
international slayers speak about human rights and liberty,those who
have supported the worst totalitarian regimes on the world.
 I wonder what is going to happen if for example all the Native
American Indian races riot against the colonist Uncle Sam goverment.
 Kossovo Albanians have rights as well but while their home country was
poor they remained silent. Now they don't respect the hospitality that
jugoslavia offered them.Kosovo is a serbian historic area and belongs
to Serbia.Who speaks nowadays about Serbian minority of Kraina or
Slavonia that were obliged to leave their land.What about Kurds in
Turkey?
 Noone knows what is going to happen.But all the resonable people hope
war will come to an end (but not in favour of a humiliating peace for
jugoslavia).
 I wish you a peaceful (hopefully) Eastern.Peace may come again to
jugoslavia.

I would like to express my feelings for you and your people these hard days
you are going through.
It is very important for all the free people all around the world you to
continue fighting against "international legal neo-fascism".
The American and European bombs are martyrs that Hitler and all the other
monsters that were created in Europe during the history are still alive.
They have only taken other masks and names (Klinton, Blair, etc.).
Don't be afraid, the only judge is time, which will prove who is right and
who is wrong.
We Balkan people have prove during history that we are ready in every time
to give our precious lives, without a second thought, for an idea. And
nowadays in this hard neo-middle ages, where no one in the West cares about
Freedom and People's Dignity it is you and your people who must act so that
to prove that Ideas can not die even in a massacre like this is happened
now in Yugoslavia.
The human race (not the animals of the NATO) can not lose this battle.
I, as a free person, am standing besides you.
There are many of us.
Don't worry, our new philosopher N. Kazantzakis wrote in his novel "Kapetan
