Our Original Plans for the Green

Kingsland village green, Herefordshire: Plan for the new village greenUsing the many and varied skills within the community, plans have been prepared for how the field will evolve into a green to be enjoyed by all:

The Green will also be maintained to preserve a habitat for local wildlife and flora. Local hardwoods, mature fruit trees (including rare apple varieties such as Peasgood Nonsuch, Scots Bridget and King of the Pippins) and nut trees will be planted. An area of undisturbed grass for wildflowers will be left along with an open area of mown grass for village entertainments.
