I was at an Indian specialty shop.   As I was heading towards the cashier counter, a lady was paying for her purchases.   She turned around & asked me if I remembered her.   I said of course & asked her about her daughter.   She said I didn't look well & asked what was wrong.   Without giving her the specifics, I admitted being unwell.   She asked that I see her (I remember that she was running an astrology business, among others).   I mentioned that I didn't believe in man, but only believed in God.   She got angry & retorted that I wouldn't get well at that rate.   I repeated my stance about exclusively believing in God, this time pointing to Sri Venkatesvara (an incarnation of Sri Maha Vishnu)'s picture hanging behind the cashier counter & she nervously left.
Some background information:   In the past, my mom, at my suggestion, had entrusted my 'jatakam' (horoscope) into her hands.   After this meeting at the specialty shop, I'd seen an advertisement of her business services, which included, to my consternation, black magic.   Hence, I felt that I knew why Sri Maha Vishnu made our paths cross at that shop.   She was, unmistakeably, the spiteful hand behind my sudden & mysterious illness.   Thank God, I'm getting better.
