When you know your time together is coming to an end
How can you describe the emptiness inside
Feeling the loss of them missing from your side
What can you do to let them know
All of these feelings you have yet to show

Just tell them you love them
Just tell them you care
Make sure they know you will always be there.
Then hug em and squeeze em love em and then
Pray that they know you'll be there till the end

For the love and the friendship, they will never die
Make sure they know that. . . look them straight in the eye
Then remind them over and over again
You'll see them in Heaven and start over again.

This is dedicated to my dear, dear friend
Your friendship and thoughtfulness has given me
so much through the years
The talks and the poetry. The laughter and the tears.
These things will remain in my mind for the rest of my years

And when you get to Heaven, look down from above
Know we are down here still sending you love
Check out all the hot spots
Remember where they are
So when I get there to meet you, we can go dancing amongst the stars!
