WE DID IT IN MILLENIUM PIZZA!!

Millenium Pizza has its food services in 10 states, mostly in Kuala Lumpur. As to conduct our business actvities effectively, seperate departments are organized for each territories where our restaurants are located. Geographical departmentalization helped us alot in accomplishing our task. Each independent outlet will get to focus on the need of their particular customers, their preferences and etc. It improves the functional coordination and any decision to be made in running the restaurant will get quick and responsive reactions. With this form of departmentalization, the economics of local operations can be improved. Millenium Pizza also operates a food purchasing and distribution division, FRESH, in each respective outlet.

We adopt a number of organizational concepts to perform the different functions in our food services. Decision making at the geographical level is decentralized where the responsibility is distributed. Each Millenium Pizza's outlet has its own manager with authority, who has the legitimate right to make decision. Each restaurant does not have a consistent quota of employees. The more experience the manager is, the broader span of control he has.

Millenium Pizza is a line-staff organization. Each outlet has direct authority, staff authority and staff personnel. Staff personnel is chosen from the head branch of Millenium Pizza, Ampang Park to assist managers in running each restaurant. This will create flexibility in our organization with full support to employees and also the open climate to positive working environment.
