Trout
|
Trout Fishing on the Muskegon River is excellent year round. You can expect to take trout on the surface from early May through at least October. Although trout are overshadowed by fall salmon, and fall/winter/spring steelhead runs, trout are readily taken throughout the year. Drop us a note at the address below to book your 1999 guided trip for Muskegon river rainbows, browns, and cutbows.

Muskegon River salmon start to show in the river by late August and reaching fishable levels by mid-September. Runs typically peak the last week of September into the first week or two of October. Fish remain in the river well into November. Salmon dates are somewhat limited and will book up fast, if you are interested in a trip, please let us know early to avoid dissapointment.

Steelhead
|
Steelhead will start to show in the river as early as September, but tend to be outnumbered by spawning salmon. Fall steelhead fishing comes into it's own during late October and into November as the salmon numbers thin. Steelhead are taken throughout the winter, limited only by weather conditions. Spring steelheading warms up as the weather, with great fishing available from mid-March, through April. Fish do remain well into May and make for an exciting surprise during a May trout fishing trip.
