Some years ago the Internet provided the means for us to move control of our established UK business interests offshore and cheaply and easily administer those interests from virtually anywhere by email. This, then advanced, facility was so cost effective, reliable and virtually FREE that we dedicated funds to initiate a non-profit dedicated web site at http://www.atlantico.org to promote use of the Web. The costs in support of the voluntary site, due to the interest and traffic generated, have steadily increased, together with the demand for new commercial exposure inconsistent with a non-profit site.

It is important to us that the Internet remains self-regulated and that the principle and status quo continues to be respected. As FREE ISP facilities have evolved in the UK, together with qualified FREE HOSTING in several countries, it was decided to extend the existing support facilities to include FREE introductory commercial support by the creation of a new commercial Internet facility - hence DEVECO.

While atlantico.org will continue to provide the FREE links associated with a non-profit organization, DEVECO will provide paid services to encourage and create international trading and the ability of anyone - anywhere - to create an individual and unique business identity within the World Wide Web.
