China Nonwoven Industry started since 1958 in Shanghai, the biggest industrial city in China, with the set-up of the first Chinese nonwoven manufacturer Hong Wei Cotton-weaving Factory Shanghai. Up to 1997, there are approximately over 600 nonwoven enterprises in China, most of them located around Chang Jiang-Yangtze river delta Area, Zhu Jiang River Delta Area and Bo Hai Gulf Area.
Although the dominant nonwoven technology is dry-laid, other technologies such as spun-laid are growing rapidly, for example, there are more than 30 spunbond lines in China, mostly imported from Europe, with its annual production capacity exceeding 80,000 tons.
However, most of Chinese nonwoven manufacturers are of small scale though the total quantity of manufacturers is amazingly large, only about 50 factories' annual production over 1,000 tons. Up to 1997, the production capacity of China nonwoven bonded fabrics industry reached 300,000 tons with totally over 900 lines of nonwoven running in China Mainland.
Almost all kinds of nonwoven bonded fabrics are available in China now except flashing spin and EMS. Part Two Farstar Company Profile
Initially, Farstar is just an exporting and importing channel for China nonwoven medical disposable and consumable manufacturers. Established in 1993 by Chinese exporters, it serves importing raw materials and machinery while exporting final products made from the imported and domestic raw materials.
Farstar grew steadily to win a good reputation of quality and prices in Europe and Japan markets. In 1999, Farstar was successfully reformed into a new complex of proprietary limited company by both nonwoven manufacturers and Chinese exporters of medical supplies in East China, and switched its concentration to medical products line and disposable products line and set up its sales head office in Shanghai, China.
Farstar satffs are devoted ourselves to not only supplying the full lines of nonwoven medical and surgical products but sourcing and delivering other comsumables and disposables for healthcare , industrial and household markets.
