Sign up For Jesus!:  Judy Brown is our coordinator for scheduling St. Vincent de Paul parishioners for adoration in the Blessed Marie Rivier Oratory (in Holy Rosary Convent on Regan Street in Gardner).  We are encouraging more of our parishioners to sign up for an hour of adoration per week for the next year.  Commitment forms will be found on a table in our front vestibule.  When completed, please drop your form in the collection basket or leave it at the rectory.  Thanks!  Katherine Moody---Class of 2000:  Katherine Moody graduated from Gardner High School on June 3, 2000.  She was awarded the following scholarships: Peter Berg, Angela Zampogna, Anthony P. LaGrassa, Vaito Eloranta Memorial, Templeton Arts and Crafts, and Gates Scholarships.  Kate also received these awards: Stanley Z. Koplic DOE for Excellence in MCAS Scoring and the President's Education Award for Athletic/Academic Achievement as well as a Scholastic Grant from John Hopkins University.

     Kate was a member of the Gardner High School Swim Team all four years and Captain her Senior Year. She is a member of Pro-Merito (National Honor Society)  She was Chairperson of "Community Service 2000," Treasurer of the Multi-Cultural Club and the 1997-1998 Speedo High School Swimmer of the Year.  Kate appears in "Who's Who in High School Athletics" as well as "Who's Who in High School Academics."

     Kate worked as a Swimming Instructor and also served as a Lector for our parish family during her high school years.  She was confirmed in her faith on May 18, 1999.  In addition to liking swimming and computers, Kate is an intense fan of Star Wars and Dave Matthews Band

     Kate is looking forward to attending John Hopkins University in Baltimore where she plans to major in Computer Science. She is looking forward to working as a Computer Programmer, using her knowledge of computers to be successful in that field in the future.

St. Thomas More Scholarship for Law Students:  Applications for the St. Thomas More Law Scholarship are now available and may be obtained by contacting: The St. Thomas More Society, Chancery Office, 49 Elm Street, Worcester, MA 01609 or you may call (508) 791-7171 and ask for Judy in the Diocesan Tribunal.  The scholarship is for law students who will be attending and accredited law school in the fall or for a student presently in law school.  The application must be returned by June 30, 2000.  Applicants (or their parents) must be members of parishes with the Diocese of Worcester.  The Scholarship is usually in the amount of $3,000.
