Grant County EAA ChapterPilot's Association

Welcome to our website. Our local airport is W99 Grant County Airport in Petersburg. ThePotomac Highlands are located in the eastern panhandle of West Virginia.

The regular meetings of the EAA Chapter are on the first Tuesday of each month at 6:30 PM.

There are usually several Fly-In/Drive-in Breakfasts throughout the year. Come out and enjoy the fun and look at all the different airplanes that come to visit.Check with the airport to see when the next fly in may be scheduled. In addition there are Wave Camps for all you glider pilots, contact the airport for dates. The Civil Air Patrol has become very active at Grant County. If you are interested in joining or know of young people that would like to become involved call the airport to see when the next meeting will be held.

The morning fly in/drive in breakfasts are the best any airport has to offer.

The Airport has recently completed the 1000 foot addition to the runway, as well as making it wider. We now have 5000 feet of newly black topped runway, 70 feet wide, and two new taxiways.

In order to make the Grant County EAA Chapter a reality, we need support from all our members. Mailings and meeting notices are only sent to those who are EAA members of our Chapter, forms are available at the airport.

A great deal of interest in aviation has been shown by the school teachers and students in the area. We would like to expand the book and video library at the airport for students to research aviation and also add books and resources that would be helpful to the continuing education of our pilots. We want to provide programs and information to our pilots, but we need your attendance at such events to make them worthwhile. Our airport is so important to the area and we need to help it grow. We can make a difference by actively supporting efforts to enrich one of our greatest assets.
