My Secret Journal
Two months ago I went down to Pennsylvania to visit family. My car broke down so I took it to the local dealership. As I walked in, the phone rang. The manager answered it , looked at me and said , "it's for you"
Now.......
1) no one knows I'm in PA,
2) no one knows anything's wrong with my car.
3) I never met the manager.
I grabbed the phone. Who......is this? I asked. Its your brother Bob, I got two tickets for Bruce Springsteen you want to go? How'd you know I was here? , I asked.
Look I just called every dealership in the county and I had a funny feeling you would be there. Do you want to go?
I started to say no, I have no money or time but........if Bob got so lucky with tickets and finding me, IT MUST BE AN ACT OF GOD! How could I say no to God?
Bruce was great!

Who says I don't know how to have fun?
Helped my brother - in - law put in fiberglass into his basement.
Since there was no air, we needed protection. Hooray for brother Pete and his old job removing chemical waste!
Decked out ready to fight a chemical war, we spent 4 hours doing a nifty Darth Vader imitation.

Ready for anything!

Sister dear catches us in the act....

Had a good time at the high school football reunion. Nothing like seeing raw talent at a high school football game, (Archbishop Wood beat west Catholic 42 -14) Saw people I hadn't seen in quite a few years. My old track coach,
I'm testing the waters again. Taking in some interviews for a position as interactive producer.

My first journal entry. I plan this to be my area to throw out my thoughts observations about my world.
I like old movies, many times instead of dropping 2-3 bills to rent a current release, I'll mosey on over to the dollar rentals and grab something with a faded cover. Today I grabbed a Nick Nolte film from 1989 called Farewell to the King
It is about a shipwrecked soldier in the early days of World War Two who is captured by and eventually becomes King of a tribe in Borneo. It's got beautiful scenery, culture with enough shoot'em ups to keep us guys glued. Between work and starting the website I haven't had much time to see movies so it was a good change of pace.
I may go down to Philadelphia tomorrow and help my brother celebrate the 25th anniversary of my high school winning the Philadelphia City Title football game.
Its a true David and Goliath story. A small high school with a football team average weight less than 175lbs, upsets a major football powerhouse. Right out of Hoosiers! It's one of those things that sticks with you.
For you fellow James Bond fans:
