Who am I?...
As confusing as life sometimes gets, I think I finally know who I am and what I want out of life. My name is Michelle and I'm a 23 year old college student. I am currently enrolled at Central Michigan University in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan (one hour north of Lansing). I have decided that I want to be an architect, so I have to transfer to a school that offers that degree. It looks like I'll be moving to the Detroit area in May of 2001. I am originally from Independence, Missouri (a suburb of Kansas City). I went to William Chrisman High School and graduated in 1996. After high school I worked full time at a photography lab, had a dog (black lab named Shadow), and was living with a guy I was engaged to. Things didn't work out, so I decided to start over and that included going to college. That's how I ended up in Michigan. I've been here for three years now. There are many things I miss from Missouri: my family, friends, Sonic chili cheese tater tots and cherry limeades, good Chinese food (especially crab rangoon), and the fact that you can always find something to do if you're bored, regardless of the time of day.
Now I live with my boyfriend Doug. We've been together for two and a half years. We have no future plans regarding our relationship. We just take it one day at a time and enjoy what we have. He's an interesting person and quite different from myself. See my favorite people page for more info.
Like I said above, we live in Mt. Pleasant. It's a small college town. It's rather boring, but getting better. We just got an Applebee's last year, but we still need a Denny's. Jobs are scarce and pay little. That's why I am excited about transferring to another school! I guess I'm just not a small town kinda girl!
