According to 2Thessalonians 2:9-12, all those who have rejected the gospel of Jesus Christ will be deceived into believing in the anti-christ and his new system of religious worship. He will prove himself worthy of worship by showing many miracles and signs.

“ Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, and with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them a strong delusion, that they believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.”

I firmly believe that this delusion and lie will be portrayed as nothing other than open “alien contact”.  The whole idea of the existence of extra-terrestrial life has been steadily gaining credence.  A couple of years ago it was a slow , occasional trickle.  Today the UFO doctrine is being practically shoved down our collective throats.  Recent polls report that as many as half the population of the U.S. believe there to be other intelligent life out there.  And there is much evidence to support the idea that something is going on.  All the reported “alien abduction” cases and the countless unexplained UFO reports, many from trained professionals such as airforce pilots, police , public officials leads me to believe that there is a tangible phenomena taking place.

The Bible says that there are forms of “extra-terrestrial life. We call them angels and most of them live in Heaven (which is not earth) so I guess that term could be a fitting description of them. These are the other created beings  that God made before the earth was formed. One third of them rebelled against God and are “fallen”. These fallen ones are ruled by the great accuser, the prince of lies, Satan.

Now lets consider what today’s modern atheist might say about some hypothetical signs and wonders.

· Multiplied the loaves and fish- Did it with mirrors. Copperfiled did elephants and airplane.
· Called down fire from heaven- Laser weapon or missile.
· Levitation- Superconductors on a magnetic field.
· Visions/ apparition- Hologram or other sort of trickery cinematic stunt

Are you following ? Anything we can picture as a miracle or a sign would be described away and would in no way convince today’s scientific thinkers.  What possible thing could Satan use as the miraculous event that could deceive these people?

Open contact with aliens, that’s what! With the discovery of “Martian life” in the form of alleged 3 billion year old microbes the ground work has been laid. It’s only a very small logical leap for those that subscribe to the theory of evolution that 3 billion years would be plenty of time to be far past us on the evolutionary scale.

The “aliens ( fallen angels or demons of course) could say that they “Evolved: long ago and Seeded our world with life. That they are the“Gods” of old (and in the case of the pagan pantheons, maybe they are). They genetically engineered our great religious leaders like Jesus, Buddha and Mohammed and gave us religions because we were so young and couldn’t figure these things out for ourselves. Now we are ready for the next “Evolutionary Leap”; to become equals with them and to be as God (where have we heard that before?).

If this scenario sounds outlandish to you don’t laugh. This is exactly what is going around in many New Age and UFO circles as to the truth and origin and purpose of all the increase in UFO related activity.  This is exactly what those who “channel” aliens from advanced civilizations say the origins of man are and what is going to happen in the future.

Finally , this could be an excellent explanation for a pre-tribulational rapture. It may even be that they are waiting for this to occur before the deception starts. This is only a theory for a possible scenario. I don’t claim any special knowledge or wisdom or anything. However, give the current attitudes and trends in society as a whole, right now this seems to make sense.

The beginnings of the modern UFO craze came immediately after Word Warll, coinciding with technological advancements in space exploration and manned space flights. During this period people claimed that angelic saviors were on there way from Venus, Saturn, and other planets.

During succeeding decades, when space exploration confirmed that no such advanced civilizations existed on other planets in our solar system, the source of UFO contacts was moved literally light years away.  Like scripts from Star Trek, contactees’ testimonials included details of star and light travel, constellation-level galactic battles and galaxy odysseys completed in the blink of an eye.

As we approach the end of this millennium, the religious pseudo-Christian UFO cults are coming into the fore, especially with a plethora of web sites on the Internet.  These cults reformat traditional Judeo-Christian doctrine into extra-terrestrial homilies, applying simplistic theology to other worldly spiritual beings. Across the World Wide Web are old, familiar themes renewed: warring factions of God and Evil from above and below, cosmic battles for salvation and corruption of human souls, Second Comings. Assorted predictions for our transformation and ascension, heavenly messengers that pass information to Earth dwellers via dreams and other mind contact, and so on.  The notion that as a species we are being guided and taken care of, with special privileges bestowed in the next world on True Believer is a warm blanket of security that our insecure species has worn for millennia.

The Internet seems an ideal place for cults like this by providing virtually limitless access to gullible minds with practically no filter or correction.  The “Higher Source” or “Heavens Gate” cult is only one of literally thousands of millennial madness cults that are proliferating at breakneck speed as we approach the new millennium. They attract followers by proclaiming a coming catastrophe that can only be avoided through allegiance to the leader and his teachings.

The last appearance of the Hale-Bopp comet was more than 4,000 years ago. At the time of its discovery by Alan Hale and Thomas Bopp, it was reportedly 250 times brighter than Haley’s comet.  The Hale -Bopp comet will reach its closest point to the sun on April 1,1997.

It is often referred to as the “Millennial Comet”, in that it allegedly brings with it warnings of dire cosmic catastrophe at the end of this millennium.  Comets have historically been viewed as “ messages from gods” prophetic signposts, omens of destruction in various religions around the world.

The comet was initially sighted in the night sky in the astrological region of Sagittarius, often promoted by superstitious UFO devotees as the source of a future “Planet 12” that will bring cataclysmic, Armageddon-like events to earth.

The comet will disappear from view in the region of the sky called the “Duat” by ancient Egyptians, between Orion and Leo. The Egyptians believed that is where the souls of the dead can fulfill their destiny in heavenly bliss.

The comet , as one New Age UFO cult watcher notes,” has become a blazing symbol of the fears and superstitions that will haunt our science driven world.  Using the World Wide Web as a church with many linked sanctuaries, the unusual beliefs involving Comet
Hale-Bopp blend many dogmas common to modern pseudo- spirituality and esotericism.

The "Higher Source" or "Heaven's Gate" cult is only one of literally thousands of "millennial madness" cults that are proliferating at breakneck speed as we approach the new millennium. They attract followers by proclaiming a coming catastrophe that can only be avoided through allegiance to the leader and his teachings.

At 3:15 p.m. on March 26,1997, police were called to a mansion in Rancho Santa Fe, Ca.. Inside they found the bodies of 39 members of a religious group known as Heaven’s Gate ( they also operated a business under the name Higher Source).  According to news reports, the members apparently committed suicide apparently committed suicide by consuming barbiturates and vodka, then lying down in their beds where they might have suffocated by having  plastic bags  tied around their heads ( two members of the group, the only ones not covered in a purple shroud, were found wearing plastic bags; plastic bags and ties were also found in the trash in the back yard).

The religious Internet site operated by the Heaven’s Gate group indicates that members believed the appearance of the Hale-Bopp comet was a sign that a spaceship was coming to take them to a higher level of existence. This transport aboard a celestial transport could only occur, however, if the members shed their earthly “containers.”

The group was led by an individual named “DO” ( believed by reporters to have been Marshall Herff Applewhite, the son of a Presbyterian minister, he was a former seminarian and a former music teacher at the University of St. Thomas in Houston, TX). In 1970s Applewhite and Bonnie Lu Trusdale Nettles, began holding meetings and referring to themselves as “The Two”.  Applewhite expands on this identity by identifying himself as “Do” of Ti and Do, of the UFO Two, or of what the media dubbed UFO cult that made some splash in the news in 1975”. ( source: 9/26/96 Video Transcript from Heavens Gate Web Site). Applewhite and Nettles formed a group called Human Individual Metamorphosis and traveled throughout the western United States proclaiming that according to a 1975 advertisement meeting in San Jose, “ The opportunity is here, where we as humans can fully evolve into a higher being. There is now on this planet two people from the high level, UFO Beings here to help us and many others with this transition.”
( source: Associated Press)  Nettles died in 1985.

It is also noteworthy that Applewhite claimed that not only were he and Nettles “Ti and Do”, but they were also the Father and Son of the Bible. He stated “ Ti, who is my Father, who is my Older Member” , who gave me birth in the Kingdom of Heaven long before this civilization began, Ti was here with me on this particular mission” ( source: 9/26/96 transcript). Applewhite later equated himself with Jesus by saying, “ That mind, that spirit, that soul, that were in the body of Christ, is me and in this body called “Do” that you’re looking at” ( source: 10/5/96 transcript). He then stated that the mission of Nettles and himself was to offer expanded life: “ the next level, the Kingdom of Heaven, through my Father and through me, is offering you Life for the first time, and we’re not talking about human life.” ( source 10/5/96 Transcript)

The statements made in the previous paragraph necessitate examination of the two primary claims.
1)  Applewhite and Nettles were higher life forms who came to earth and
2)  They offered a unique form of “ salvation”.

Lets look at these two claims in greater detail.
 

 Applewhite proclaimed, and Heaven’s Gate believed, that bodies are simply “containers” or vehicles that allow movement by the mind and soul in material worlds ( source: Do’s Intro.” document from Heaven gates Web site). Applewhite took the body of Jesus 2,000 years ago, and the body of Do recently, in order to train us in how to advance beyond this human level of existence to The Evolutionary Level Beyond Human, also referred to as The Kingdom of Heaven.

Applewhite taught that he and Nettles are “ Older Members,” our mentors and guides to reaching the Kingdom of Heaven. They previously existed in the Level Beyond Human, along with other creatures in “eternal bodies”, mapping out the plans for our human level ( source: 9/26/96 transcript). He and Nettles in a display of beneficence , left behind their bodies to come to this level and teach disciples in classrooms ( source: Do’s Intro.). Interestingly, Jesus disciples of 2000 years ago have also returned as guides ( source: 9/26/96 transcript) Humans are in the intermediary stage of evolution from animal, to higher being ( source: “ Last Chance To Advance Beyond Human” document on the Heavens Gate web site). Wee are training to discipline ourselves so that we are worthy of advancement to life in the Level Beyond Human. Also involved in this hierarchy are such lower beings as Satan and his minions. These beings flunked out of their eternal training, and now exist to confuse human trainees and thus prevent them from reaching the Kingdom of Heaven ( source: Do’s Intro.). They accomplish this by convincing humans to pursue normality by avoiding any investigation of occult or new age topics. Their primary method of deception, as outlined by Do, is to persuade humans to “ Above all, be married, a good parent, a reasonable church goer, buy a house, pay your mortgage, pay your insurance, have a good line of credit, be socially committed, and graciously accept death with the hope that through His shed blood, or some other equally worthless religious precept, you will go to heaven after your death” (source: Do’s Intro.).

As you can see, this hierarchy and its attendant agenda is explicitly opposed to orthodox Christianity.
 
 

As stated previously, the members of Heaven’s gate believed that the appearance of the hale-Bopp comet was a sign that a spaceship was coming to take them to the Level Beyond Human. Their web site proclaims in its home page:

 Whether Hale-Bopp has a companion or not is irrelevant from our perspective. However, its arrival is joyously very significant to us at “ Heavens Gate.” The joy is that our Older Member in the Evolutionary Level Beyond Human
(the “Kingdom of Heaven) has made it clear to us that Hale-Bopp’s approach is the “marker” we’ve been waiting for , the time for the arrival of the spacecraft from the Level Beyond Human to take us home to “Their World” in the literal Heavens. Our 22 years of class room here on the planet Earth is finally coming to a conclusion, “graduation” from the Human Evolutionary Level. We are happily prepared to “ leave this world” and go with Ti’s crew.

This departure, according to the groups theology, was only allowed if preceded by vigorous training.

As stated in the previous section, life in Heavens Gate schema was evolutionary; we progress ( if worthy) from animal to human to higher being. The purpose of human life in this level of existence is to “ rid themselves of human behavior, human activity, human thinking, so that they could be ready at this time to move into the Kingdom of Heaven or the Evolutionary Level Beyond Human” (source: 10/5/96 transcript). Visiting crews from UFO’s , transport beings from the Kingdom of Heaven, find “lust and self serving pursuits abhorrent” ( source: 10/5/96 transcript). Humans thus enable themselves to progress to the higher level by rejecting all desire for reproduction and material affluence, they must reject all “human-mammalian behavioral traits” ( source: 10/5/96 Transcript). This resulted in the monastic lifestyle of the group members, replete with identical short haircuts and collarless black shirts. It also may have been the reason behind the castration of several male members, including Applewhite.

In order to board the UFO that would take them to the Evolutionary level Beyond Human, group members needed to ultimately leave the mortal “ containers” that held their souls. In a document on their Web site entitled “ Our Position Against Suicide” the group acknowledged that they would leave their mortal bodies behind. The crucial question becomes: was suicide necessary for boarding their celestial transport? The “ Against Suicide” document begins by initially explaining that members could loose their “physical vehicles” through an accident. It immediately progresses to a more horrific fate: they could be psychologically or physically assaulted, as were the people at Ruby Ridge and Waco. The group elaborates on this scenario by proclaiming that, should they find themselves under attack, they would find it “permissible to evacuate their bodies by a more dignified, and less agonizing method, by committing suicide, as did the Jewish zealots at Masada,. We have thoroughly discussed this topic of willful exit of the body under such conditions, and have mentally prepared ourselves for this possibility, as can be seen in a few of our statements.”  ( Source: Against Suicide)

Does this mean that the group committed suicide because it viewed itself under attack? The answer is currently unknown. However, it is obvious that members of Heaven’s Gate were highly motivated by the perceived opportunity to board the UFO around Hale-Bopp.
 

Order of the Solar Temple(74) As the millennium rapidly approaches, this international apocalyptic cult has claimed 69 victims in two bizarre mass suicide rituals. Strangely, most of the members of the sect seem to be highly educated and well-to-do individuals who follow a bit too eagerly the temple's doomsday teachings. The Order itself stems from the Knights of Templar, a secretive medieval organization founded by French crusaders in Jerusalem. How it became a New Age Euro-Yuppie Suicide machine, is a solar mystery.

The Temple came to prominence on October 5, 1994, when 53 people committed suicide simultaneously in several chalets in Switzerland and Canada. The two known leaders of the group, the Belgian New Ageist Luc Jouret, and the guru Joseph di Mambro, died in the 1994 ritual. The cult seems to give great importance to the sun. The 1994 deaths were meant to take the sect members through fire to a new world on a planet called "Sirius." To assist with the trip, several of the victims, including some children, were shot in the head, asphyxiated with black plastic bags and/or poisoned. Luc and Joseph wrote, in a letter delivered after their deaths that they were "leaving this earth to find a new dimension of truth and absolution, far from the hypocrisies of this world."l

The second mass suicide ritual ocurred about a week before Christmas in 1995. On December 23, on a remote plateau of the French Alps police found 16 charred bodies arranged in a star formation with their feet pointing to the ashes of a fire. Like the rituals of 1994, they all died by stabbing, asphyxiation, shooting and/or poisoning. Their bodies were burned as part of a cleansing ritual.

A week before discovering the bodies, Swiss and French authorities suspected the worst when 16 cult members disappeared from their homes. Some left behind handwritten notes expressing their intentions of committing mass suicide. One of the notes stated: "Death does not exist, it is pure illusion. May we, in our inner life, find each other forever." Two of the dead were the wife and son of French ski champion and millionaire eye wear manufacturer, Jean Vuarnet.

In March 23, 1997 five more dead bodies were found in a burned house owned by a member of the Order in St. Casimir, Quebec. Police suspect this could signal a new round of murder-suicides by cult members who believe that death is just an illusion and life continues after Earth on other planets. Authorities in Switzerland and France have placed known cult member under surveillance to avoid further more suicides.

The bodies of four of the St. Casimir victims, the man and woman who owned the home and another couple, were found in a bed upstairs positioned in what may have been intended to be the shape of the cross, police said. The mother of the female homeowner was found dead on a sofa downstairs with a plastic bag over her head. Unlike earlier suicides in which adults killed their children, the three teen-age children of the homeowner Didier Queze were spared.

Apparently the teen-agers woke up the day before the suicide to discover their parents and other cult members had placed propane tanks, electric hot plates and fire-starters on the main floor of the two-story house. Realizing what was happening they expressed their disapproval. The suicide was delayed until the Saturday, and they were spared.

Fanie Queze-Goupillot, 14, and her brothers Tom, 13, and Julien, 16, agreed just before the fire to take sleeping pills their parents gave them. They went to sleep in a workshop near the house. "The children were given medication, but they knew that when they woke up their parents and grandmother would be dead."

Investigators have been trying to find out who took over from the leaders, Luc Jouret, a Belgian homeopathic doctor, and Joseph DI Mambro, a wealthy businessman, who were among those who died in Switzerland. French police say the members include a Swiss orchestra conductor, Michael Tabachnik. The conductor has denied press reports that he is the new guru or even a cult member, however, his wife died with other cult members in the Swiss village of Cheiry in October 1994.

This apocalyptic sect and its charismatic, blind leader are suspected of releasing Sarin gas in five Tokyo subway stations the morning of March 20, 1995, killing 11 people and sickening more than 5,500 others. The religious cult is also suspected of a similar gas attack in June, 1994 in Matsumoto, a town north of Tokyo, that killed seven people and wounded 144. Furthermore they are suspected of a series of slayings and kidnappings of anti-cult activists and preparing to overthrow the Japanese government all in the name of "good karma."

Asahara justified indiscriminate mass murder through the religious belief "poa" -- a Tibetan Buddhist term for reincarnation to a higher existence. According to Shoko's twisted doomsday teachings, one can only save their soul through killing. Asahara taught his followers that a "poa" killing relieved victims from everyday life and the inevitable accumulation of more bad karma. Thus what we call cold blooded murder was regarded "as a beautiful 'poa,' and wise people would see that both the killer and the person killed would benefit."

In 1994 Shoko, seeing that his cult was entangled in all types of legal difficulties, ordered his disciples to mass produce deadly nerve gas and test its power in the streets of Matsumoto. It was the start of a doomsday plot to wipe out untold numbers of innocent people and his first volley in a war against the police and the Japanese government. The objective of the attack was to kill several judges staying at a courthouse dormitory who were due to rule against the sect in a property lawsuit. Seven people died and 144 were injured in the experiment. However, nothing happened to the judges.

Under Asahara's command, the doomsday cult built a sarin plant to produce 70 tons of the lethal Nazi-invented gas in order to wipe out the population of entire cities. On the side he also had plants manufacturing barbiturates and truth serum. Furthermore, he ordered the production of 1,000 automatic rifles and one million bullets in preparation for his war against the Japanese Government. Not the humble type, Asahara demanded that his followers treat him as a "living incarnation of God." He also allowed them, at a steep price, to drink his bathing water which would be a sure way to cleanse their souls. Shoko also had a habit of kidnapping and executing anti-cult activist. Prosecutors described how one rebel cult member, Kotaro Ochida, was strangled while Asahara looked on.

During the opening day of his trial the blind visionary's only words were: "I have nothing to say." Later he appeared to doze off and one of his lawyers had to wake him up. If convicted the blind doomsday cult leader could be sent to the gallows. Virtually all of the other top cult members- including Shoko's wife- have been arrested for crimes ranging from misdemeanors to helping to carry out the Tokyo subway murders. Until his arrest, the portly cultist predicted that the world would soon come to an end and only the Aum Supreme Truth would survive. Until then, they will all be in jail waiting for the apocalypse.

Killer cults tend to be led by charismatic megalomaniacs who pit themselves and their churches against the rest of the world. They are usually apocalyptic visionaries drunk with lust and power that have physical and sexual control over their followers. In most cases their beliefs stem from twisted interpretations of established doctrines. These self-proclaimed divinities usually amass a large arsenal of weapons before bringing forth their personal day of reckoning. The cults are listed according to number of kills associated with them. Check the morgue for the latest doomsday prophecy.

These cult leaders use socio-psychological manipulation practices to exploit their followers. These techniques are capitalized on by stage hypnotists, evangelists, political orators, dictators, and cult leaders, among others. The tactics they employ can be remembered by the acronym APES -- A = altered states of consciousness; P = the psychology of peer pressure; E = exploitation of expectations; and S = the subtle power of suggestion.

Altered states of consciousness. Cult leaders employ a variety of methods to work their devotees into altered states of consciousness. In some cases it is repetitive physical motions, drugs, excessive and repetitive work schedules; sleep deprivation; chanting mantras, etc. The goal is to dull the critical thinking process so that devotees become hyper-suggestible, willing to accept any "spiritual truth" that enters their minds. The dangerous effect for devotees involves depression, detachment, depersonalization, disillusionment, and, in the case of the Higher Source cult, even death.

Psychology of Peer Pressure. Cult leaders, like Do and Ti of the Heaven's Gate cult, utilize the power of peer pressure to conform devotees to predictable patterns. They promote a "we/they" siege mentality that galvanizes their constituency against a foe of mythological proportions. They are particularly adept at using conspiracy theories to reinforce their paradigm of reality. The peer pressure that entices devotees in the first place often keeps them from acknowledging that they were participants in a deception, even after the deception has been clearly unmasked. One millennial madness advocate expressed this siege mentality by commenting, "What if the Earth is in danger of a massive catastrophe? Would the common man know? If the authorities with expertise in the field had foreknowledge of this coming event, would they share the information with us?"

Exploitation of Expectations. Devotees are systematically programmed to believe that they are receiving esoteric revelations which have been hidden from the rest of humanity. In some cases they are systematically programmed to believe that through adherence to the will of the "Master," they will be enabled to take over the socio-political systems of society. Or, as may be in the case of the Higher Source cult, that they are poised to shed their earthly containers and become pioneers of a new, extra-terrestrial civilization. The proximity of the comet and the Christian commemoration of Holy Week, culminating in the resurrection of Jesus Christ, became the inexorable fulcrum precipitating their final, deadly, fall.

Subtle power of suggestion. The power of suggestion seems virtually without limit. Once epidemic suggestion contaminates a movement, human beings can behave like beasts or barbarians, and be proud of it. In full force, it strikes intellectuals as well as the ignorant, the prosperous as well as the poor. Its wellsprings are esoteric rather than evidential. As has been noted, "the effect of suggestion on crowds is virtually without limit. It can make black appear white, it can obscure realities, enshrine absurdities, and impel men piteously to cleave the skulls of their brothers" (or, for that matter, to drink Kool-Aid laced with arsenic or to die under the covering of a purple shroud). Statistically, one in twelve Americans are "highly suggestible," "fantasy-prone," susceptible to creating a memory out of thin air and then believing it. Fantasy-prone personalities are vastly over-represented in cults like the Higher Source that prey on such personalities in their recruitment efforts. Fantasy-proneness is typically referred to as "Grade Five Syndrome:" very trusting; desiring to please (especially an authority figure); able to accept contradictory experiences (cognitive dissonance); with a marked propensity for a feeling of affiliation with new or unusual events; and apt to relate everything they experience to their own self-perception. This complex of characteristics makes Grade 5s particularly susceptible to UFO theories, millennial madness, and out-of-body experiences.
 

     Hundreds of thousands of people in many parts of the world are claiming they are encountering UFO entities in one way or another. They have had what is called an "Close Encounter of the Third or Fourth Kind", a term used by ufologist J. Allen Hynek. There is also growing public interest in this phenomena due to media attention.  Some CONTACTEES AND ABDUCTEES and also some claiming to be channeling extra-terrestrials are being revealed the following kinds of information:

- We are not alone in the Universe. We are told - this earth has been visited many times in the past and presently by different types of extra-terrestrials. These ET's have been involved with our creation, evolution, religions, myths, beliefs, etc.

- Some contactees are being told that: "Humankind stands now in the transitional period before the dawn of a New Age. (With peace, love and understanding, the people of Earth will see a great new era begin to dawn.) The Space Beings are here to teach, to help awaken the human spirit, to help humankind rise to higher levels of vibration so that the people of Earth may be ready to enter new dimensions.  We are poised for a quantum leap forward on both the biological and spiritual levels. The
human soul will evolve.

- "If the Earthlings should not raise their vibratory rate within a set period of time, severe earth changes and major cataclysms will take place.(Such disasters will not end the world, but shall serve as cataclysmic crucibles to burn off the dross of unreceptive humanity.  Those who die in such dreadful purgings will be allowed to reincarnate on higher levels of
development so that their salvation will be more readily accomplished through higher teachings on a higher vibratory level.)"

- Others are being told that the receptive or chosen will be saved by benign ET's and their ships when these disasters take place. Some like the Raelians are told they will experience some kind of eternal existence through further genetic engineering i.e. cloning.

- A major leap in consciousness and evolution is about to take place: Crop circles, UFO sightings and contactee and abductee experiences are preparing those who are receptive of these changes. Events such as the Harmonic Convergence are lifting the veil so the Higher Galactic intelligence’s of the universe will be able to channel their energies and influences to facilitate the shift towards a New Age.12

- Evidence for these claims are: the many abductee and contactee experiences with similar stories and messages, physical scars, hybrid babies, recognition of some kind of symbolic or hieroglyphic language etc.There seems to be according to researchers increasing cases worldwide of UFO sightings, crop or landing circles, animal mutilations, abductions of
men, women and children.

-According to Dr. Karla Turner, who has worked with over 400 abduction cases and has written the book "Into the Fringe", says if abduction accounts can be believed and there is confirmation of many of these facts with other researchers - the abduction phenomena includes some of the following details: from -UFO Universe, Spring 1993. Aliens -Friends or Foes by Dr. Karla Turner:

   - Aliens can alter our perceptions of our surroundings.

   - Aliens can control what we think we see. They can appear to us any number of guises and shapes.

   - Aliens can be present with us in an invisible state and can make  themselves only partially visible.

   - Abductees receive marks on their bodies other than the well-known  scoops and straight-line scars. These other marks include single  punctures, multiple punctures, large bruises, three-and four   fingered claw marks, and triangles of every possible sort.

   - Female abductees often suffer serious gynecological problems after their alien encounters, and sometimes these problems lead to  cysts, tumors, cancer of the breast and uterus, and to  hysterectomies.

   - A surprising number of abductees suffer from serious illnesses   they didn't have before their encounters. These have led to
     surgery, debilitation, and even death from causes the doctors  can't identify.

  -  Abductees often encounter more than one sort of alien during  an experience, not just the greys. Every possible combination
     of grey, reptoid, insectoid, blond, and widow's peak have  been seen during single abductions, aboard the same craft or
     in the same facility.

   - Abductees report being scoffed at, jeered at, and threatened by   their alien captors. Painful genital and anal probes are
     performed... Unknown fluids are injected into some abductees.

   - Abductees-"virgin" cases- report being taken to underground  facilities where they see grotesque hybrid creatures, nurseries of  hybrid humanoid fetuses, and vats of colored liquid filled with  parts of human bodies.

   - Abductees report seeing other humans in these facilities being  drained of blood, being mutilated, flayed, and dismembered, and  stacked, lifeless like cords of wood. Some abductees have been  threatened that they, too, will end up in this condition if they  don't co-operate with their alien captors.

  -  Aliens come into homes and temporary remove young children, leaving  their distraught parents paralyzed and helpless. In cases where a   parent has been able to protest, the aliens insist that "The  children belong to us."

   - Aliens have forced ther human abductees to have sexual intercourse  with aliens and even with other abductees while groups of aliens   observe these performances. In such encounters, the aliens have  sometimes disguised themselves in order to gain the cooperation of   the abductee, appearing in such forms as Jesus, the Pope, certain  celebrities, and even the dead spouses of the abductees.

    - Aliens perform extremely painful experiments or procedures  on abductees, saying that these acts are necessary but give no
      explanation why.....Painful genital and anal probes are  performed, on children as well as adults.

   - Aliens make predictions of an imminent period of global chaos and destruction. They say that a certain number of humans...will be  "rescued" from the planet in order to continue the species, either  on another planet or back on earth after the destruction is over.  Many abductees report they don't believe their alien captors and  foresee instead a much more sinister use of the "rescued" humans.

 "In every instance from this list, there are multiple reports from unrelated cases, confirming that such bizarre details are not the product of a single deranged mind. These details are convincing evidence that, contrary to the claims of many UFO researchers, the abduction experience isn't limited to uniform pattern of events. This phenomenon simply can't be explained in terms of cross- breeding experiments or scientific research into the human physiology....... Before we allow ourselves to believe in the benevolence of the alien interaction , we should ask, do enlightened beings need to use the cover of night to perform good deeds? Do they need to paralyze us and render us helpless to resist? Do angels need to steal our fetuses? Do they need to manipulate our children's genitals and probe our rectums? Are fear, pain, and deception consistent with high spiritual motives?" ......Dr. Karla Turner.
 

      SOME PHILOSOPHICAL AND OTHER PROBLEMS WITH THESE MESSAGES

- While there seems to be evidence for UFO related activities as mentioned above, perhaps there are other possible explanations. Many UFO paranormal, psychic, and spiritistic manifestations, etc.(5,6). Many abductees, contactees and researchers believe there is an interdimensional or multidimensional quality to the UFO phenomena and experiences with ET's. .Although the UFO phenomena maybe real it also could be a holographic illusion or a transmorification of matter and energy. Perhaps ET's are entities that have power to shape matter and spirit. Some alien lifeforms seem to have an ability to shape shift and appear and disappear 5,6. Dr. J. Allen Hyneck suggested the phenomena appears to be more psychic than extra-terrestrial and perhaps comes from a parallel world. This also seems to be Dr. Vallee's explanation (6, 9. )

-Dr. Vallee also notes that there are authoritarian overtones to some of the messages given to contactees (8) i.e. democracy is obsolete, elections should be done away with 4, racist ideologies are encouraged - some have more alien DNA etc., a New World Order is needed and will be set up with alien help. He also believes that some kind of control system is being set up by the UFO phenomena which challenges our traditions and human beliefs systems 6,8. Many abductees report implants and feel they are being manipulated for some unknown purpose that's yet to be revealed.

- Much of the messages given to abductees and contactees seem to be New Age in philosophical orientation and language: there are no moral absolutes, reincarnation is taught, monistic beliefs such as a vague "kinship with the Cosmos and it's oneness with the Universe or the Universe as a supreme being" are common, we are being told that "we stand on the precipice of a quantum leap forward on both a biological and spiritual level." Man is or is becoming God...etc. (3,13.)

- If man is one with the cosmos or some impersonal concept of God there cannot be a basis for truth or ethics. The impersonal, as such is silent about such things. There is no basis for saying anything is right or wrong if all is one with God. What you are left with is total relativism or the arbitrary absolutes of the controllers who ever they may be. "If All is
One , good and evil are reconciled, then one can  do nothing bad; thus Manson was only acting logically....the fact that Manson's followers knew him as both Satan and Christ highlights the collapse of distinctions between good and evil under moral relativity".(13.)

- As well, finite alien creators cannot provide sufficient absolutes. You have the same problems as pagan polytheism - the gods are too small to account for the creation of the universe and not good enough to provide a basis of morals and truth. Is abducting and raping women okay if extra-terrestrials do it? Also, why all the authoritarian overtones to some of the messages? Do they really have our best interest in mind or is there evidence of some kind of control system?

- There are several alien types taking credit for the creation of man and now some contactees like Rael and Benjamine Cream are claiming to be prophets of some messianic authority. In fact Rael is claiming to be the new final prophet and chosen "Messiah" of this age...chosen by a group of extra-terrestrials who call themselves the Eloheim who told Rael that they created the human race through genetic engineering. Rael has over 35,000
followers world wide who call themselves Raelians...and they wish with the Eloheim's help -to usher in a world government ruled by an authoritarian elite.( 4.)

  Cream is promoting another "messiah" he calls "Maytrea". Full page ads in newspapers around the world has announced that this world teacher is in the world to-day. Cream is also convinced that the intelligence’s behind the crop circle phenomena are paving the way for the soon unveiling of his messiah who will usher in a New World Order and a New Age.

  Skye Ambrose, a famous abductee who was "born again" as she said as a result her encounter with a strange "grey" type alien with bright sparkling eyes predicted at a recent UFO conference in Bellevue, Washington; that "evolution was entering a "peak cycle" that will create a New Order on the planet. Polarization is occurring on this planet to separate those who will accept the message and evolve toward Unity and Oneness and self-realized Godhood and those who will not.”

-Many alien prophesies to contactees of the 50's or to-day have failed to come true or appear to be outright lies. (14). Many contactees and abductees to-day are again delivering warnings of coming earth changes and disasters along with promises of help from aliens...they feel chosen to deliver a message to mankind ...the prophesies are creating a false hope and dependency in their abductors who they know little about.

- So what are we dealing with? New Age aliens with some promise of a golden age or some unimaginable deception to enslave undescerning minds. The evidence seems to point to the latter. There have been many false messianic claims and those foolish enough to repeat history by following the voices of deceiving entities have been warned to "beware of false prophets and Christs who come disguised as sheep but underneath are ravenous wolves ".(10) We should be reminded of the likes of Adolph Hitler who not long ago promised a New Age to unsuspecting Germans.

- Whitley Striber, in a recent issue of the monthly MUFON Journal, Sept. 93, states - "I've come away from this experience convinced of one thing: if there aren't demons out there, there might as well be, because these guys are indistinguishable from demons. Indistinguishable. To see them, to look into their eyes, is to be less - forever......." Striber seems to swing from horror to naive trust.. you see this in his books and statements to the public. Perhaps, he is not so sure of the visitor's intentions.

- Perhaps we should heed the old warning; 'If, anyone says to you then, "Look, here is the Christ" or, "He is there", do not believe it; for false Christ and false prophets will arise and produce great signs and portents, enough to deceive even the chosen , if that were possible."(11)

- Some UFO researchers suggest that perhaps the so called 'aliens' aren't much of a threat, after all if they have been around for this long and have not taken over then why should we be concerned. However, if they are not what they appear to be, and the phenomena has other potentials and realities which include: deception, false messianic claims, dangerous
ideologies, the formation of cults, etc., then for historical, social and political reasons we should not abandon our need for discernment and caution.

"For false Christs and false prophets will arise, and will show signs and wonders, in order, if possible, to lead the elect astray" (Mark 13:22).
