  When we have decided that we would like to work from home, we then set about putting together a plan that will co-exist with our family’s day-to-day living, create financial stability and bring about a sense of personal achievement to our own lives.

  In changing or adding to our income we know that research plays a very important part in making an educated decision, I know that many of us believe that an educated decision is relying on what “best friend Ann” has to say, but that’s where we immediately lose our focus and the original vision we had for working from home.

  I am not saying that we should not take into consideration other people’s experiences, but your decision should be about the why, the when, the where and the how and by that I mean, why you decided to work from home, when you would like to start, when did this become important to you, where you would like to take your experiences and how you will accomplish them.

  I believe that working from home has its advantages and most certainly its disadvantages and the ones we sometimes set in front of us are the disadvantages, but they should not be the main focal point of our decisions, because that cripples us into changing our minds and staying in a situation that hinders all aspects of our growth and the potential we originally had for the desire to work from home.

  In my personal experience and in speaking with many people everyday, a great percentage truly desire to work from home, especially mothers, most if not all of them will jump at the opportunity to stay at home with their children, to see them off to school every day and be there for them when they come home and that I believe should be one of the main points when we choose to work from home.

  I also believe one of the best ways of being successful while working from home is by staying tapped into what’s going on and this is not so that you will only be able to meet the needs of your clients but also to enhance your own personal repertoire, it keeps you as diversified as possible but yet makes you a well rounded person who can also share his/her own experiences and you too can say this is “The Word According to Your Experiences!

Stepping Out On Faith!

God has dealt us ALL a measure of faith, but what we do with that faith is left up to us.

We have to settle it in our hearts and receive a PERSONAL REVELATION that we need to use that faith and so we may as well use it in the area of positive and rewarding areas of our lives and that may include starting a business.

By us not stepping out on faith it's like watching a tennis match and our heads are moving left and right  and as we watch other people create an atmosphere for themselves and kick up dust and all the while we are trying to jump in, but too afraid to do so and we lose that moment.

Well its the same with starting a business, we take to long to "JUMP IN" and we do not activate that measure of faith and then we realize that someone else has come along and kicked up our dust!

ITS TIME TO KICK UP SOME DUST ...ACTIVATE YOUR MEASURE OF FAITH!...

The Spirit of Success

  The first order comes across your desk and you are elated, you need to share, you need to just scream it at the top of your lungs that things will be okay.

  Yes! Those of us who have started a business have all had that experience, but guess what… it should be the flame that never dies, that’s the way I felt when I received my first order for my work-at-home directory, it meant more to me than my full-time employment pay check and boy was I loving it.

  That day I went to my PO Box and I saw that order, I felt that the world was my own, I felt that I could accomplish any and everything and that I had made the right decision in starting my own publication.

  We all need to fan that Flame of Success from time to time, because it is the one that will get us through the not so elated times, the slow times and the” am I crazy to be doing this times” That first order should be carved into our memories because its what will keep us going.

  The inspiration and the motivation to start a business always stems from something that has happen and we believe that we can give or bring something new to an area of business, it does not matter how small, but when you receive that inner move of your spirit to add to or change a situation, then by all means do it.

  I say this because that’s how I started my business “The Work at Home Directory”, I wanted to do something from home, so I decided to purchase a directory, to make an extra income from the comfort of my home and so when the book arrived I immediately started calling the numbers listed within the directory, I was very excited because the company I purchased it from spoke very highly about the contents.

  However, after I had made about ten or fifteen telephone calls I realized a pattern, the numbers were either disconnected or the people who offered these types of work-at-home opportunities no longer did them.

  Well, this is where I took what looked like a negative situation and turned it into a positive situation, I decided to turn things around and believe it not, I did not do it to get back at anyone but I decided to publish my own directory to make a difference, to help others avoid the situation that I found myself in.

  Here I am almost two years later and four publications into my book and we have grown, we have certainly made a difference and we have made it to the list of the Top 5 directories sold in the USA (listed in Winners Edge Report 1999 Edition) and we are helping people find legitimate work at home opportunities.

  I certainly believe that the desire to make a difference to set goals and rise to the occasion is alive and well in most of us but we need something or someone to stir it up in us. I believe that the urge to birth a new business or a new idea should be to add and not take away from the equation, it must be a putting on of conscientiousness of everyone involved and to certainly make your mark and leave us all with a positive and lasting impression.

My ultimate goal is to keep the Spirit of Success alive in everything I do and pass it on to everyone I meet, both on a professional and personal level.
