President's Corner
In spite of the outside entertainment provided by Ebby Halliday, I hope everyone enjoyed our Y2K speakers at the October meeting.  For those members who were not there, we had a band next door playing very loud.  Our speakers had a lot to compete with but they didn't seem to mind.  Thanks again to everyone who brought guests.
The cut-off date for the November reservations at Gabberts "Dine & Design" meeting was November 5th.  Since the newsletter will be received after that date, I hope everyone was contacted to see if they would be able to attend.  If anyone would like to carpool, please call either Waunita, Adele or me and let us know.  The time for the meeting is differ
ent this month only.  Networking will start at 6:30 with dinner at 7:00.  It will give everyone a little more time to get there.
At the last board meeting there was a good deal of discussion about the Thanksgiving and Christmas projects and party.  We will have a short business meeting at Gabberts and briefly discuss them.
I hope everyone is looking forward to the Holidays.  It's a very busy time but lots of fun if we don't get too "stressed".  Slow down and enjoy.  See you at Gabberts.

  • The Christmas Party this year will be held at Linda Dingee's home on December 16th at 6:00 PM.  Bring a covered dish and wrapped gift ($10 maximum) and $5 towards meat.  Linda's address is 2001 Forest Park Drive, Arlington, TX (Home Phone: 465-8661).
  • The Joint DACA/TCAF meeting is on the Nov. 13.  It will be held at the Renaissance Dallas North Hotel, 4099 Valley View Lane, Dallas, TX.  Registration at 9:00 AM.  Meeting starts at 9:30 AM.  Cost at door $22.  Deadline for advance reservations was Nov. 5th.
