I'd
like to thank everyone who attended, brought guests and worked to make
the Business Associate event an enjoyable evening. Special thanks
go to the officers, Adele for publicity and obtaining the plaques, Waunita
for the table decorations, Debbie for the programs, those who brought door
prizes, and everyone else who contributed their time and effort. |

The
Spring Conference in Little Rock was attended by Ginger, Jean, Waunita,
Adele, Susan, Debbie and me. Attending a conference is a great way
to get to know each other better. Hope some of you will consider
going to Atlanta in November to support Debbie, our Woman of the Year.
Just
a reminder that we will be taking nominations from the floor at our May |

meeting
for officer election as well as committee chairs. Hope everyone will
be giving some thought as to how you would like to participate in the chapter
this coming year. There is no better way to feel a part of the chapter
than to be involved.
See
you at the meeting.
Sincerely,
Shirley

Spring
Conference
Report:
This year's Spring Conference
was very enjoyable and educational. I especially enjoyed the tour
of the Marlsgate Plantation House that several of us participated in on
Friday morning. The gentleman that lives in the house and led the
tour was very funny and knowledgeable!
Most of the seminars were |

very
informative and helpful. The general sessions were all very interesting.
We had a lot of fun at the Hat Party, especially Adele who came up with
a hat idea at the last moment!
Please
be sure and take the time to read Terry Howard's speech on pages 2 and
3 of this newsletter. Terry is our National President of ABWA and
her speech on Sunday |

was very thought-provoking.
The
National Convention will be held in Atlanta, Georgia the first week of
November. Start making plans now to attend. I will be including
more information in future issues of the newsletter.
