Knowledge was formed by Nick Traina after a falling out with his former band, Link 80. In this band Nick really took his musical talents to new levels. He experienced hardcore, punk, and ska sounds. On this CD Nick sings about more positive things than he did with Link 80. He sings about Racism, brotherhood, and Unity. The first track, Still Standing is about how Nick survived his break up with Link 80. The last track, Gnat (I'm All Alone),along with the title of the CD, A Gift Before I Go, are eerie considering that Nick commited suicide not long after finishing recording this album. I really fell in love with this CD. Some people say that it's not good because it's so diverse with its styles...I say that only makes it better.
