Jack's Page.
Jack is a five year old male wolf that will be used for our gray wolf breeding program as needed. He was a pet and has been donated to L.E.A.F.™ because his previous owners, Richard and Sandy, care more about his well-being than their own feelings of having a "wolf for a pet"--they want him to have the best home possible. He was eating commercial dog food and some chicken parts weekly for his diet. He has been changed to a pure meat diet, similar to what he would have in the wild. He eats about three to five pounds of raw meat a day.

Jack got out of his fencing over a year ago and ended up at a local store's garden center. Because he was a wolf, he was chased and eventually tranqualized and captured. He had jumped a seven-foot fence to get out, and animal control was concerned that he would bite someone. Showing true wolf nature, Jack ran away from everyone that approached him. The last picture listed is of him when he was caught.

The lowest estimate we have for building Jack a temporary 30' x 30' x 8' cage with a full top is $3,700.00 (US). He will costs at least $40.00 (US) a week to feed. Any donation-- big or small-- will help.
