 | The Leadership Alliance program was a hallmark of the MBA 800 course,
Global organization and the firm's strategic position. My team worked with
our corporate advisor from a major automotive plant in Lansing.

 | Our team, that went by the name CODER (communication, organization,
decision making, and reliability) had six members from three countries, with diverse
functional skills. Sophie was a lawyer, Yaacov a computer scientist, Jason a
marketing major, Stan a geologist, and Sanjai a mechanical engineer. We did very
well on all team projects.

 | We had a debate in the ethics class, "The Draize test" and
team Coder won, even as we went in thinking that we had to argue a tough case.

 | Some excellent teachers were Sue Haka who taught us managerial
accounting, Bob Lalonde who taught economics, Jack Bain who taught business presentations.

 | My favorite courses were MBA800, Global organization and the Firm's
strategic position, and Business Presentations.
|
 | I was just beginning to get a feel for the intricacies of the corporte
America by the end of the first year.

 | A typical day started at 7AM with The Wall Street Journal.
Classes started at 8AM. Team meetings and working on assignments occupied the
rest of the day. The day often ended some time after midnight.
