Introduction

Hello, welcome to Virtual Java Shopper. This program is to bring a hassle free shopping experience to any user at any place. There will be no more traffic congestion, no more squeezing through a crowd, and no more waiting for a long queue.

Basically, there are 5 categories in this program - processors, graphics cards, sound cards, speakers, accessories, etc. Each category has 4 items which lead to 20 items in the whole program. The user can choose any category out of those available. Then, the particular category that is chosen will be highlighted and 4 of the items in this category are displayed at once. For example, when the user choose Intel Pentium III 500 MHz, the details on this particular item like the price, the amount of cache memory and so on will be shown.

After skimming through all the latest products available in the market, the user can also purchase any of them using this program. There is a shopping cart that will list down everything the user is interested in. Say for example, when the Sound Blaster Live sound card is highlighted, at the same time the user clicks on the add button, this item will be added to the shopping card. The user can purchase as many items as he wishes. And with the advance shopping cart feature, the user does not have to worry that he has purchased so many items which later will drain his wallet, because the shopping cart will always show the total of what he has purchased. The user can even remove the item which he does not want by clicking on the remove button. Finally, the user will click on the "Check out" button and a dialogue box will pop up prompting for credit card information, shipping address, etc. The information will be sent straight away to the merchant and the goods will be shipped to the user right after the order is processed - the hassle-free way.
