One of the most important factors of life in Sigma Phi Epsilon is Recruitment. Without Recruitment there are no Sig Eps. Students would not be given a chance to experience what true Sig Ep brotherhood is all about. This is why we offer year round recruitment. We giving those that are willing to experience the greatest rush in life a chance to become a brother of Sigma Phi Epsilon.
In 1901, Sig Ep was founded with 12 members, 7 of whom were Seniors at Richmond University in Richmond, Virginia. It has since become college campus's largest Fraternity in the nation, with more chapters than any other Fraternity.
Fraternities were founded by the
great students of their day, and Greek was a subject studied only by the
best students. If you are considering joining a Fraternity, you will
not be disappointed. Greek life has a lot to offer, and which Fraternity
you choose is an important decision. You need to find the organization
that's right for you. Being a part of a Fraternity, especially Sigma
Phi Epsilon, is a life long committment. It is not something that
you will be forced into, but by the time you graduate, it will be a decision
that you choose. Sig Ep strongly encourages those interested to check out
as many Fraternities as possible, so that you find the Fraternity that
is best for you.
Here are some some questions
you might consider asking yourself about the brothers and their Fraternity
you are checking out to furthur help your decision:
How does the chapter stand in terms
of overall GPA? In other words, how important are academics to them.
Besides, the main reason why we are all here is to get an education.
How long is their pledge or new
member program?
What amount of time will be expected
of me during this initial phase?
Do they encourage me to check out
other Fraternities?
How much money will I need for
dues?
Which Fraternity do I seem to fit
in with? Do I get along with ALL of the brothers of that Fraternity?
