    Hey!!! Is there anybody out there??? This is for anybody in Tehachapi looking around and asking themselves, "What in the world am I doing in Tehachapi? I want out!!!" Some times though getting away for whatever though just isn't possible at this time or realistic for some of us. So if you think you're alone, take it easy because you're not. There are many, especially among the youth here in Tehachapi that are craving something to do. That's where this little newsletter steps in. A few of us not so experienced at doing this have decided to do our best at putting this together so that we and you as the youth in Tehachapi can voice some of our thoughts and opinions, using a forum such as this and that until now, at least to our knowledge, has been unavailable. Hopefully as you begin responding to us (good or bad) We at Tehachapi Youth UnderGround "TUG", will be able to provide a means of positive expression for the youth of Tehachapi through various activities such as Promoting concerts, dances, and positive youth rallies. You may be wondering about our motives, if not that's cool, but if so, well there's more. the authors of this newsletter want to give you something worth your time, and we just happen to know someone who is worth spending eternity with. And we want to share him with you. His name??? JESUS CHRIST. Whooaaaaa!!!! Don't turn away just yet!! I have a feeling we almost lost some of you there. You may have the urge to toss this and walk away. But please don't. You're the one we want to talk to. Why?? Because every single one of has been where you may be, and fortunately we found, or should we say someone found us and showed us a way to real life. A life of joy and fulfillment. Most of all meaning. so give us a chance, get to know us because we want to know you. Most of all we want to have fun (so who doesn't!!), and in doing so we hoe to provide a way for all those in Tehachapi who the same to join in.

CALLING ALL PEOPLES!!  HERE'S YOUR CHANCE TO BE HEARD! WE NEED YOUR INPUT! There are some, for the time will remain anonymous, here in Tehachapi that are in the beginning stages of putting together a youth center in Tehachapi where peoples of all ages will be able to hang out. The idea is to have a place the youth of Tehachapi to call their own. Some events that will be held the club are music nights, where Christian bands, known and unknown will be able to play. Also, there will be dance nights where those who love the beat of christian praise house music can boogie to their favorite praise and worship songs. This is definitely an exciting alternative way of praising our Lord. "What we are looking for and hoping to do," says one author of the club, "is to provide a place where the young christians of Tehachapi can come together, meet other christians their age in an exciting setting, and enjoy hanging out and praising God together. we want not only to furnish a positive atmosphere for young christians but we ant also to reach out through the music and Christian youth to the lost and hurting youth of Tehachapi, those who are involved in the drug and party culture. Those who may be having hard times with life. We believe that if we provide the youth of Tehachapi a way to come together as one and share the good news of Jesus Christ, awesome blessings will begin to happen not only in the youth themselves but, throughout our town.
        Well, we here at T.U.G. are pretty excited about this and wanted to find out what some of you thought, so we asked!! Here's the answers we got from some of you to the following questions: Q:1- Do you think there's enough to do in Tehachapi for the youth? Q:2-What would you like to see coming to Tehachapi?

Jacob-15-sayas, "No way! There's not enough to do in Tehachapi. I'd like to see a big dance club."
Andy-15-"I think it depends on the personality of the person. I like Tehachapi. But I think it would be cool to have a music club here."
Kebra-17-"There's nothing to do in Tehachapi. We should have a club that every one could go to."
Erick-16-" No. I don't think there is really enough to here. I'd like to see a skate park or a music club.
Melissa-15-"Yeah! I think there's plenty here. We have the movies, the park to go to, bowling, and there's your friends. I'd love to see a dance club in  town though. I'd be there all the time."
