Thanks for visiting the Winslow Elementary Website. I am the Winslow Elementary School Secretary. I have been the secretary since August of 1998. I am the Office Manager for the Winslow Elementary Building. I answer the phone. I keep the daily attendance records on the students and a daily, monthly, and yearly report is generated and I send it to the District Office. I deal with the Lunch, Breakfast, and Milk Break accounts on a daily basis and make sure they are balanced daily so that at the end of the month the report that is sent to the District Office is also balanced. I create the Lunch and Breakfast menus for Winslow and any daily notes that might need to be sent home with the students. Cumulative records are begun on each student that attend Winslow Elementary that follow them through their years of education. It is my job to make sure that all the information needed to start these records is present and recorded properly. In addition to the usual work in my description, I am able to assist in other areas?
When Mrs. Nelson, our district nurse is not in our building, I am the one taking student temperatures, putting ice on boo-boos, Band-Aids on scrapes, removing slivers, and holding their hand (and bucket) when they are sick. Sometimes I help out in the Kitchen and there are times that I will be in a classroom but for the most part you will find me in the office. I am often found running from room to room with any message that I might receive. (doing in my part in our "intercom" system).
There is never a dull moment at the Winslow Elementary Building!! And I wouldn't trade it for the World! J
