PRE-TRIAL DETENTION FACILITY

      Our Pre-Trial Detention Facility houses 2,189 inmates. Of these inmates, about 200 of them are County sentenced trustys who provide inmate labor for the facility. We are also very proud to have our own public school within the facility. This school provides both an education and teaches life management skills to wayward teens and young adults. We also conduct programs such as the DAWN program. DAWN teaches inmates different trades, so they have a better opportunity to be successful in the workforce. This program is designed to reduce recidivism.

  MONTGOMERY CORRECTIONAL CENTER

      The Montgomery Correctional Center houses just over 600 county sentenced inmates. These trustys work in shops repairing DOC equipment, and on street crews cleaning the roadways and other city-owned properties.

  COMMUNITY CORRECTIONS DIVISION

      The Community Corrections Division houses just over 300 county sentenced inmates. These inmates are on a work-release program that allows them to go thier regular jobs during the day, and then return to the facility at night.
