My Religious Beliefs

First of all, I am an American Baptist. Yes, me. I know, I know. Anyway, I have my own interpretation of the Bible and what God wants. I feel that God has his own plan for each of us, and that the only way to find that out is to have a personal relationship with him. The Bible seems to me to be a very generalized version of Christianity with many conflicts within itself. It is, after all, a book written by people, revised by people, and has even had several stories removed from it. The number of changes inflicted upon the Bible has made it more a framework for how to live than a word-for-word account of God's word. I do not, however, look down upon anyone who has the faith and determination to live a life as outlined by their religious leaders. My beliefs are not necessarily the right ones for anyone else. I like them, and, therefore, I live them.
