CROATIAN TEAM-

DRAZEN LADIC: The much maligned keeper was superb, making some uncharacteristic brilliant saves, particularly against Germany and Holland. 9/10

SLAVEN BILIC: Stout and headstrong, he barely erred in the last line of defense. 8/10

ZVONIMIR SOLDO: Has improved markedly and will only get better. Consistent performer. 7/10

DARIO SIMIC: Had a great campaign, regularly out pointing his direct opponent. 8/10

IGOR STIMAC: Terrific and seemed to get better when used as a sweeper. 8/10

KRUNOSLAV JURCIC: Impressed in patches and put prove to be an important player in future internationals. 6/10

ROBERT JARNI: A tireless worker and along with Suker, possibly Croatias best player since independence.Gave his all on the left wing and scored a memorable debut goal for his country against Germany. Australia born Ante seric is his understudy for the position. 8/10

MARIO STANIC: Looked uncomfortable as a striker , but played reasonably well when moved to the right wing 7/10

ALJOSA ASANOVIC: Croatia's standout performer. This guy made it all ahppen from midfield. He was the creative force of the team. 9.5/10

ZVONIMIR BOBAN: Patchy tournament from the captain, with one outstanding performance against Romania. More was expected to him. 6/10

ROBERT PROSINECKI: Disappointed with his apparent lack of athleticism, although his technical skills were still first class. After the Japan game, coach Blazevic opted for a more defensive approach, partly in response to Prosinecki's slowness in midfield. 5/10

GORAN VLAOVIC: A great competitor, Vlaovic still needs to work on his finishing, particularly in one-on-one situations. 6/10

DAVOR SUKER: Looked out of touch early on, but respond wonderfully later in the tournament. His clinical finishing was a joy to behold, particularly the goal against the Dutch that earned him the Golden Boot. 9/10

COACH MIROSLAV BLAZEVIC: Eccentric he may be, but his belief in the players never wavered and they responded to his instructions to the letter. 10/10
