Btnhresurrection Review
After listening to the new Bone album, I have constructed this review in my opinion of how good the album is compared with previous efforts and other rap albums. I have arranged it so that I express my views of each track and its rating.
.) Show 'Em - Overall an impressive and flowing song with the original Bone sound. Rating : 4.5 out of 5
.) Righteous Ones - Another well constructed song with Layzie, Bizzy and Flesh doing well. A good idea to let someone else do the chorus. Rating : 3.5 out of 5
.) Two Glocks - Good verses and a great chorus however the bass and the beats of the song overtook some of the voices. Rating : 3 out of 5
.) Battlezone - A brilliant song in fact a master piece. Definitely one of the best songs on the CD. Bone should have done more songs with just Krayzie, Layzie and Bizzy. Rating : 5 out of 5
.) Ecstasy - Definitely the worst song on the album in my opinion. Krayzie should have sung the chorus alone without Flesh. Rating : 1.5 out of 5
.) Murder One - Another great song. I was glad to hear that they kept some of the old Bone music ( probably because of DJ Uneek ) Rating : 3.5 out of 5
.) Souljah's Marching - An alright song however the chorus after the verses sounded weird because its slow compared to the beat. Rating : 2.5 out of 5
.) Servin' Tha Fiends - Excellent introduction and verses but the chorus was not that good. Rating : 2.5 out of 5
.) Resurrection ( paper, paper ) - An excellent song with the exception of Bizzy singing to a very different tune. Rating : 3 out of 5
.) Can't Give It Up - Deserves to be the next single. A good overall track with excellent choruses however the beat is very strong and does cover the voices during verses. Rating : 3.5 out of 5
.) Weed Song - A great laid back and simple song, way better than ecstasy. The music also suited the singing. Rating : 4 out of 5
.) Change The World - A smooth flowing track with a great chorus and message. Rating : 4 out of 5
.) Don't Worry - Wonderful to hear Krayzie singing a fantastic verse and chorus. Possibly another single. Rating : 3.5 out 5
.) Mind On Our Money - A well thought idea of including a song reflecting their past achievements and history. A good song. Rating : 4 out of 5
.) No Way Out - I like the song but once again I am not in favour of the music. I don't no why but it seems to sound unbone like. Rating : 3 out of 5
.) One Nite Stand - An interesting song which I thought would not be sung by a Bone member. Bizzy does well with good verses and backgrounds. Rating : 3.5 out of 5
Whole Album Rating - 8 out of 10
BTNHRESURRECTION is an exciting and amazing come back from Bone Thugs N Harmony. Most people would have believed that Bone would not be a major part of the rap industry after their silence for 3 years as a group however Bone have proved critics wrong by delivering this great album. Though this is a good album, it does not compete with the Art Of War which was definitely Bone's best record. It is not that Krayzie, Layzie, Bizzy, Wish and Flesh did not perform as well however some of the music and backgrounds did not suit them in the new album. Another aspect which disturbed was that Krayzie was only in 9 out of the 16 songs. Besides the negatives I mentioned, the CD is fantastic. Since I've bought it, I have been listening to it continuously.
