Dennis became our record purchase when he was bought for £7.5m from Internazionale Milan in June, 1995. The Dutch international was born in Amsterdam in May, 1969. He is another product of the Ajax youth system and made his first team debut against Roda JC in December 1986. He has a collection of medals and awards including a Dutch championship medal, Dutch Cup medal, two UEFA Cup medals (Ajax and Inter), Cup Winners Cup medal, three Dutch leading scorer awards (once sharing the honour with Romario) and was Dutch 'Footballer of the Year' in 1992 and 1993.
