Welcome! (updated April. 8, 1999)

READ THE STUFF BELOW. IMPORTANT!!!

What a miracle. I've finally got all the materials up. Now you guys/gals can cram all you want. I'm finally through. After 4 months of hard work, I finally can relax and forget about this site. Remember it is not the fall that will kill you, its the impact.

Please ignore the Fortunecity ads above the sites that frequently pop up within a few days. I do not get profit from it, and Fortunecity is annoying the hell out of me now. So please do not click on the ad above if it is there.

The people that have assisted in typing out the lecture overhead includes: Wilson Lam, Shauna Xie, Flavia Tsang, Kevin YeDennis Hsieh, Kevin J Cirulis, and Liu Jinsong. I am no longer seeking volunteers.

Also note, the pictures that are included in the lecture notes are not chosen randomly by me. They have been specifically added because they were overheads during the lectures. (you'll probably notice that if you weren't sleeping. So pay better attention next time.) When printing the material out from this website, I recommend that you use Internet Explorer 4+ instead of Netscape at school (unless you want to save money on the printing) The print out from Netscape may come out distorted (i.e. text unaligned, symbols missing, picture misalignment, etc). Go support Microsoft and download IE5.

I have stop typing the lecture notes now. Don't send me complaint letters if there is any typos, grammar, or missing texts within the lecture materials. Send your complaint letters to the typers email address above. Don't send them to moi. If you are unsure if the lecture notes are correct, wait till the prof proof reads them. That way you don't have to print them twice. Read the comment below.

smallnew.gif (926 bytes)Chapter 10A, 10B, 12A, 12B and Chapter 13 is up. All of Chapter 1, 2, 3, 4, and all of 5 has been proof read by the prof. already. Marisca's Lecture notes are also available now, click lecture notes to download it. You will need Word 97 to open the doc. file.

smallnew.gif (926 bytes)And please, if anyone is gonna send any complaint letters to me, please do so in a kinder manner. I too have a soul and self-esteem. Anyways, if any of you guys get bored of staring at rocks, come and send me some junk mail to my email address. I always try to reply within a day or two. My email account if you guys haven't noticed from below every page is: [email protected] (isn't that easy to remember?)

smallnew.gif (926 bytes)The site has been modified big times since last time I updated it. I have converted all the picture to include a thumbnail so that the loading time is now less than a minute for a 28.8kps modem. The environment has also been changed.

smallnew.gif (926 bytes)Note: If anyone plans to print out the lecture notes, please try to print on recycled paper or print double sided. Better yet, share the printed copies. Put what you have learn in Eng. Soc. into action. Remember:"Save a tree, kill a beaver."

And one final note: Good Luck to everyone on the Finals.

Isn't anyone gonna wish me good luck in return?
