Touring Jamaica can be both thrilling and frustrating. Rugged terrain and wind can make roads slow going. (In the rainy season from June through October, roads can be entirely washed out; always check conditions prior to heading out.) Primary roads that loop around and across the island are two lanes, signs are not prevalent, numbered addresses are seldom used outside of major townships, locals drive aggressively, and people and animals seem to   appear out of nowhere before your vehicle. That said, Jamaica's scenery should not be missed. The solution? Stick to guided tours and licensed taxis--to be safe and to avoid frustration.

There is a lot to do in Jamaica:
Visit a plantation, go horseback riding, see a historical site or Great House, take a sailing cruise, scuba dive or snorkel. Go river rafting, stay in a hotel, take in a reggae show or visit a rum factory and lots more, the possibilities are endless.

This site gives you a list of Jamaica's most popular attractions and the links to the web sites where you can learn more about them and can learn how to carefully plan a trip to Jamaica.
