Juggling

I juggle four balls, three pins, do the diabolo and devil sticks and rollo bollo. I first learned how to juggle at YEA-Youth Experience in the Arts at Marshalltown Community College when I was thirteen. Some people showed us the method, but I didn't actually learn then. Then, when I was sixteen, my parents took my older brother back to college and I was alone for a weekend. For some reason I picked up some tennis balls and learned to juggle. From then on I couldn't be stopped. Every where you go you meet people who juggle, and somebody always knows something more than you, so you learn. Eventually you start teaching people things as well. I would estimate that I have personally taught more than 500 people how to juggle, spontaneously, and in organized classes. I taught juggling I and II for the University of Iowa Physical Education department my last semester of college. I was a trainer for the St. Stephan's Church MixMax children's circus jugglers troupe in Stuttgart. I wrote a juggling lesson for elementary special methods-PE. I've taught several members of my family to juggle, including my Mom, Dad, brothers, sister, cousins and in-laws. During college I would juggle for two to three hours every day. I got pretty good. Since being married and having children, I haven't had as much time to juggle, but recently I have been making an effort to get back in form. When my daughters get older, I want to have an act where Shannon stands on my shoulders, we're both juggling, and Megan passes clubs back and forth and up and down to us. I wonder if Patricia will allow that?

Later, I taught him to juggle and he became
quite good, but I don't think he still practices
