The German House Programmer is responsible for organizing weekly activities, such as Stammtisch, where students go to a restaurant or pub and speak German for a few hours, or discussions on German related topics, in addition to Oktoberfest, a traditional German festival put on at homecoming. In 1988 there were over 5000 people at Oktoberfest. I couldn't have done it without all the help of the German House members as well as members from other houses.
