Busy Bees News
Welcome to March Madness! This month we learned the saying "in like a lion out like a lamb". We will be graphing the lion and lamb days to see which we will have the most of. Each child wrote their own prediction last week. So far, it doesn't look promising!
This week is March Madness week. Monday is hat day, Tuesday is backwards day, Wednesday is polka dot day, Thursday is crazy socks day and Friday is Pajama day. Friday we will make pancakes for breakfast, watch a movie and have popcorn. We will use one or more of the yummy pancake recipes sent in for P homework!
Someone has been messing up our room! The children made pictorial predictions of who is doing it and how to solve the problem. So far, the popular resolution is to make leprechaun traps. We will do that on Tuesday and see what happens. Anyone who has interesting Irish traditions to share that especially deal with St. Patrick's day please let me know.
Remember that pickup will be at the playground after 1 o'clock starting this week as long as weather permits. We go outside everyday unless it is raining. On those days pickup will be at our classroom. After 1:30 the remainder of children not picked up will be brought back inside. You are welcome to drive up to the gate for pickup and I can put them in the car, or you can walk in to get them. You are also welcome to stay and chat or give your child some extra playground time once you arrive.
I will have a survey posted outside the door this week regarding a proposed trip to the Durham Science Museum. Each year I have taken my class there in conjunction with our space unit since they have some great space things there. The cost is 3-4 dollars which includes the train ride. They also have the butterfly pavilion now which is excellent. Please vote whether or not you would like you child to go on this trip.
Thanks,
Wendy
