Metallica started in the year 1981 by Lars Urich and James Hetfield, and the others were Ron McGonvay on bass and Dave Mustaine on guitar.1984 they moved to San Francisco to contact the new member, Cliff Burton that was very good at playing the bass. After they kicked Dave Mustaine they moved to New York with the new member Kirk Hammet to record their first album   ”Kill ém all.” Then they did their second album called ”Ride the lightning,” that was on Billboards top 200 for 50 weeks. 
Bad news, on their first tour in Europe Cliff Burton died in a bus accident in Sweden. But this did not mean that Metallica stopped playing. Some weeks later they found  Jason Newsted their new bassist.

In 1988 they did a movie that they called Cliff em all and that was made of fotographs that the fans had taken. In 1991 they did their fifth album that they called The Black Album. In 1996 they did the album Load that included the hits Until It sleeps
and Hero Of The Day. The latest album they have done is ”S & M”.

He was very good at playing the bass. And he died 1986 in a bus accident in Sweden, some miles from Ljungby.

He took Cliff Burtons place when he died, and he is also very good at playing the bass.
