The Tennis Court Oath

On the 20th of June, 1789, the members of the Third Estate were locked out of their meeting room during preparations for a royal session of all three estates on the 22nd. The Third Estate was furious, and instead met at inside tennis court. The bourgeoisie signed and oath not to disband until a constitution for France was written. The French are beginning to revolt - they are starting to refuse to bow down to the absolutism of the King.
