PROJECTS DEVELOPED (A) Project Title RAILWAY TICKETINGING SYSTEM Developed at Chitra Computer Technologies Environment CICS, DB2, COBOL Description The main objective of the program was to provide reservation inquiry services, reservation and ticket issue services as well as ticket cancellation system. Besides it also comprises report facilities in Batch environment. Main modules of the system are Online Environment Batch Environment Online Environment Inquiry and Ticket Reservation This module provides Reservation status for given class on given train. It also indicates availability profile for given requirement like if reservation available for continuous seat numbers or on different coach. On request of reservation it will allocate ticket number and update the table with passenger information. Ticket Cancellation This module gives information on status of particular ticket number for given train. On cancellation request it will update the appropriate table with appropriate information. Batch Environment Ticket Report It generates individual ticket report with passenger details and train details. Reservation Chart It generates reservation chart for each coach of the train. Ticket Cancellation and Reallocation This program reallocates vacant berth to RAC and WAITING LIST numbers. Scratch Program This batch program deletes all the tickets for the post journey date. (B) Project Title EMPLOYEE MAINTAINANCE SYSTEM Developed at Chitra Computer Technologies Environment CICS, COBOL, VSAM Description The objective of EMS is to store all information pertaining to employees of the company into database using screens. The stored information can be used for ready reference using a series of report, which sorts and present the data in a readable format. The main functions provided by the system are ONLINE ENVIRONMENT BATCH ENVIRONMENT Online Environment Addition of information of new employee. To make available information of any of the employee Updating the information of employees who are working in the company. Changing the status of the employees who left the company and inhibiting their data from updating. Displaying the list of employees by browsing option. Batch Environment Generates the report of the employee who has left the company. Generating department wise report with employee details.
