What areas will ensure that Korey is successful?
- Attention: The teacher absolutely MUST get Korey�s attention to assure that Korey
is listening to the teacher! No learning can occur until Korey learns to
pay attention!!!! An example of getting Korey�s attention would
include the teacher standing in front of Korey and establishing
eye-contact prior to the beginning of a lesson.
- Clarity of Language: The teacher cannot assume that Korey has heard or
understands ANYTHING! The teacher has to establish
communication before learning can happen. An example
of this would be giving Korey ONE command and watching
her complete it before giving the 2nd command.
- Questioning: This will allow positive interaction between Korey and the teacher. It
will also prevent the teacher ONLY speaking to Korey when she has
done something wrong. Questions will also show Korey that she is
expected to listen and know what�s going on! An example of this
would be to ask Korey what day it is as soon as the teacher puts the
