Fiocco is the Italian word for "snow-flake", and it certainly stands for good dancemusic. The success of Fiocco started with their first single 'Afflitto' (released in February 1997). It became number 1 in the dance charts and it remained there for 10 weeks!! In the national charts it reached into the Top5!

In October 1997 the fallow-up single 'The Spirit' was released and this became even a bigger success-story. Again a number one hit for several weeks and - not only nominated as the best dance single for 1997 - it became also the best sold Belgian record of 1997. Not only Belgium got the hots for this, 'The Spirit' is also released in France, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the Netherlands, South Africa, Italy, Spain, Scandinavia and Israel, just to name the most important ones.

The third single 'Spread the word around' became their third success. Like the previous singles, this one also went for gold! Three golden records in a row … The hitsingle 'Afflitto' was adapted to the German market by Kosmonova and was released under the name 'celebrate'. After the success of 'Celebrate' in Germany & Holland, the group decided to release this single in Belgium together with the brand new track 'Straight till the end', two singles on one disc.

Jan Vervloet is not only playing keyboards on stage but he's also the producer and songwriter of Fiocco. He is without a doubt, one of the most important techno/trance/dance producers of Belgium. Jan Vervloet is also known as a remixer for artists such as 2 Unlimited, Absolom, DJ Visage…

After a year of working hard in the story, doing stageperformances, even touring abroad, this album definitely crowns it all.
