A Network is conneted between C.E McCall Middle school and George C. Lyter Elementary School.

Fiber Optics is used to connect the schools. Fiber is also used between Hub boxes.

Within the schools Cat 5 wire is used to connect computers, servers, etc.

*Looking to upgrade to a 10 mg wireless connection before the end of the school year.

Use of Satellite is limited at the time, but will grow as needed.

FORTRESS is the program used to restrict use on computers.

BESS is the program used to restrict use of Internet.

Network use for teachers is primarily e-mail (Eudora Light) and internet (IE 4, being updated to 5). Other network applications, especially in the libraries are provided to users. Network printing enables teachers and staff to print to various locations.
