Physical Description:Caitlin DeWitt, Clan Brujah
Rather short and pale. Caitlin has straight, jet black hair (which she sometimes dyes as she pleases, the most recent being a mix of blood-red strips with her natural black) cut short, and impressive eyes of a green that seems luminous.

She prefers wearing leather pants and a t-shirt or shirt (depending on whether it's summer or winter) in shades of red or black. She also only wears an earring at a time and has a large collection of different motifs. She has a barb-wire tattoo on her right arm and a fanged bat on the left upper arm (vaguely reminding of the Batman
logo). She also has a preference for black and silver waterproof watches, and for boots. In public she *always* wears shades to hide her eyes.

She is fit, and apparently aged in the early twenties.

Background:
Caitlin grew up in Phoenix and attended school there until the death of her mother when she was 10. At that time her father moved back to his hometown of S. Francisco where Caitlin completed high school with flying colours. She went to the University of California at Berkley to take a degree in Sociology. She actually harbored the secret wish of becoming a writer, but never discussed it with anyone.

One of her short stories, called "Fog Under Bridge" (a murder case in S. Francisco, completely fictional), was actually published in a magazine under a pen name (K. Lynn Summer) in 1978.

Caitlin married at the age of 19 for two years with a writer named Julian Waters. They had a daughter called Kelly, later that year. The bliss ended in '81 when they were all caught in a horrible road accident: Julian and Kelly died but Caitlin spent one year in a coma plus six in physical and mental rehab at hospital.

This, of course, meant that she never actually finished her degree, having spent most of her second year carrying and then giving birth to Kelly. She had the accident during the second semester of her final year.

When she was finally released from hospital, Caitlin was a somber and quiet woman. She discovered her father had passed away while she was in a coma. They had turned off the machine at some point, but she had kept on breathing. She got herself a job wherever she could find one, starting as waitress and eventually arriving upon barwoman.

She eventually met the one that would become her Sire and was embraced. After being dead, she basically remained the same. She got a new job at the movie-theatre, attended computer night school and now owns her own laptop (probably bought at the black market from some fellow Brujah) and she's good with it. She has found she has a certain talent for computers. She spends much time on the Internet, where her nickname is Featherlight - named after the (unpublished) children's story her husband was writing at the time he died.

She now avoids thinking about her family. She gets depressed and gloomy whenever she lets her mind dwell on the subject. To avoid thinking about them too much, she buries herself either in work or on the Net.

Why is she in New Orleans? She ran into some trouble back in Boston and was shot in the head... at point blank... by the Prince's Guard. And for nothing much at that: she merely stood up for her Sire. Torpor obviously ensued. She doesn't yet have the slightest idea who on earth dragged her to safety but she did awake a few months later. She fed and then fled town as fast as she could, carrying only the essentials. She only decided upon New Orleans when she was already half-way there. She'd never been there before.
