Dannica Montreaux is a beguiling young Creole woman, 5'4" tall, and weighs about 130 pounds. Her rusty brown hair is accented throughout with blonde highlights, marking her mixed ancestry. Her expressive, warm brown eyes offer a forbidden promise few men can resist. As is typical with her clanmates, she can often be seen at night wearing the trendiest clothes, in the most popular clubs of New Orleans.

Background:
Dannica Montreaux was born of a wealthy coffee plantation owner and exporter during the 1800's. The family had been living in the Orleans territory for generations and became naturalized to the area. During the time of this building the business for the Montreaux's, some mixing of blood came into the family line, sealing the family ties to the Louisiana area and New Orleans. This was a new class of people, the Creole's.

During her childhood, Dannica was no exception to the natural beauty and exotic air of the Creole blood. Only the times spent outdoors enhanced the glowing gold tinge to her skin, and streaking her rusty curly hair. Dannica loved the outdoors especially exploring the bayous. She was very close to the land and to New Orleans.

When she was off at school, Dannica didn't have a shortage of boys after her but she never favored one over the other. At that time, her drawings and paintings took her attention. It was her love and passion and the Creole girl painted the wild beauty of the bayous and the growing New Orleans. Around her twentieth birthday, she met up with a handsome man at the mayor's ball. He was dark, mysterious, and his gray eyes bored through you. He held a very aristocratic air and this intrigued Dannica to no end. For he wasn't like the boys around New Orleans. Dante also noticed the young Creole woman and immediately became enamored with her.

This started out to be a strange courtship to her parents, as the only time that Dannica and Dante would meet was at night. He had claimed that he had a job that kept him working all day. The parents didn't argue with this and let Dannica continue on with her beau. She would paint for Dante, as he enjoyed her work and took a few pieces with him, mainly her sketches which she scoffed were hardly presentable. He would only laugh at her.

This courtship between the Toreador and Dannica lasted about four years, with some breaks in between when Dante informed of trips he had to take for the business. The strange romance had deepened with each one devoted to each other. Dante had wanted desperately to Embrace Dannica, let her know who his true self was but was forbidden by Tradition and the Masquerade. His Sire and Elder, David, took notice of the latest infatuation of Dante's and chided him for his boyish obsession. But as David watched the two more, especially Dannica, even the Elder could see the reason for the fascination and had become obsessed with the young woman. He had never let Dante know and hid the feelings deep within.

When Dante could take no more waiting, as Dannica was considering going off to Paris for the summer of 1900, he pleaded with his Sire for permission to Embrace Dannica. David at first denied his childe the privilege but Dante never gave up. He did convince Dannica to stay the summer, spend the nights with him, walking the night with jasmine on the air. Dannica couldn't refuse such an earnest plea and relented. On one of these nights near the end of the year, Dante took Dannica out for a walk around New Orleans to supposedly watch the ships on the docks. It was a fairly balmy night for winter and Dannica agreed to go. With David hanging in the background, watching the couple, he watched as the Toreador Embraced the young woman.

As with any new childer, Dannica was entranced with the idea of being one of the creatures of the night. Of course, at that time of the century, a plausible death had to be fabricated and she had to leave her family. It was hard in ways but after her 'death' Dante took Dannica to Paris.

The years waned in Europe and the pair did briefly come back to New Orleans in the 1930's, meeting with Marcel, the Prince at the time. Marcel never forgot a pretty face and Dannica's remained with him, though his duty came first. Their time back in New Orleans was short though, with the Depression going on. Dante and Dannica left again and went back to Europe. This time, they went to London.

In 1982, Dannica left Dante, bored and getting irritated being under her Sire's keeping, and returned back to her home. From there, she discreetly checked on her family descendants and then started up her own business as a coffee café in the French Quarter. Café An Jois was a real Bohemian style café that suited the college kids of the time. Dannica became popular with the young crowd and remained on the fringes of Kindred society. David visited occasionally lusting after the woman still and Morgaine came to be a good friend, despite being her Primogen too. Though others of the Kindred soon just tolerated Dannica as she had a habit of taking in 'strays' and mentoring them, sometimes taking them as lovers. Dannica wasn't particularly caring of what others thought anyway. She ran her café and did her artwork, which was a happy undead life for her.

Her world changed on one fateful night, when her café was run over by zombies, burned to the ground, and then she was taken by the Sabbat. They tortured her, starved here, and just about broke her will. Dannica was nearly mad from the Beast when she was found weeks later but she now had an edge to her. The Beast rose in her when the Sabbat came up and now, once where she shied from the Camarilla, Dannica is willing to participate in it and do her part.
